As in an earlier post we were talking about most haunted. They did a live episode on the pendle witches at Tyndale farm, well me and my mum went down there to try and find it ( she now lives near pendle hill ). We were walking for about 2 miles and decided to go back to the car. We followed the path and came past an old house with building work on the side of it, like an extension. I looked through the side window it looked really old and deralict, I said to my mum I bet this is it. I ran around the front and there it was, old stones in the front garden, and a big poster on the door saying 'private, keep out' It was daylight and it was still creepy.
The owners don't use the house as it's so haunted.

I have a couple of storys.
when i was a child I lived in a house in Indianapolis,when everyone was downstairs you could hear someone walking from the bedroom to the bathroom,to the first childs bedroom then to the next childs bedroom then back to the main bedroom,this happen every night as long as we lived there ,about 5 years.
next story took place while my husband was in the army and we were in Germany,,,our landlord had told us to always keep the door to the attic blocked which we did.often we would here banging around up there and thinking it was birds or something a couple of times my husband went to check never seeing anything.one morning he was leaving for work and we kissed and I walked back to the living room when I heard him say something,i looked back and hes as white as a sheet,he said something had grabbed his shoulder and he thought it was me until he saw i was about 10 feet away from him.he had a handprint on his shoulder.we remembered that the chiney sweep had been there the day before and when we checked the door was not blocked.

I also agree with Elem about most haunted,I've to watch it several times and just dont care for it,also scariest places on earth because i hate those cameras pointed at peoples faces
I love ghosthunters ,cant miss it,also supernatural and ghost whisperer are good fiction. theres another show on discovery that doesnt seem to have a set time that i look for ,its called a haunting ,sometimes with a city or something attached to the name,its a documentary type show with the actual people that are having hauntings in their homes or business,has anyone else seen it?

I forgot to add to the story in indy,when the footsteps went back to the main bedroom you could hear it walk around the bed,hear the bed creak then hear what sounded like slippers hitting the floor,first one then the other

wow, I love a good ghost story. They are good thanks Doe.
I really love supernatural it's great. I used to watch ghosthunters all the time when I was pregnant with Abbey. Sometimes mosthaunted is abit crap but I like the stories that the mediums pick up on.

I have another one for you,,,,
in the house we moved out of 2 years ago myself and all my family members had several different and seperate incidents.I wrote about some in the "for everyone" forum in the topic "lucid dreaming-night terrors". heres another that still makes me shake when i talk about it or even think about it. the first time it happened i was babysitting my granddaughter, she was napping in the living room so i went downstairs to switch laundry around. I turned the washer on and started hearing screaming, I ran up the stairs to check my g-daughter and she is sound asleep so i went back downstairs and turned the dryer on and it happened again, just blood-curddling screams so i ran back up the stairs and she was still asleep. after that everytime i would turn on the washer or the dryer this would happen. this happened until the day we moved out and no one else could hear it but me.
the house is 3 stories and built in the late 1800's. we beleive it was part of the underground railroad as so many houses are in this part of the country. there are a lot of hidden rooms and corridors and crawl spaces. Their are 11 rooms of living space and about as many hidden spaces.
lots of freaky things happened there.

no aphrodite,oddly enough it wasn't the main reason we moved but it was a reason not far from the top. we mainly moved because all but one of our kids had gotten lives and moved out and the house was just too big. But like i said we found out after we moved that everyone had similar happenings and as the kids moved out my husband and i felt more pressure and unease in the house.
my husband has had a problem with a "demon"(for lack of anything else to call it)pretty much all of his life in dreams and out and in that house it intinsified.we found out later our youngest daughter was having the same problem.
other things happened there,the dark figures in the doorways and in corners,noises ,the sense of being watched,things moving also,the dark figure"demon" has followed him once again,he has seen it on the edge of the woods several times at our present home,in the hallway and doorway.one day last summer we were out in the backyard,we had been talking and I turned and walked back to the front of the yard,I was several feet way from him when he let out a yell.his hair is very long and he wears it in a ponytail and something yanked his hair and was still standing straight out when I looked at him.

I could tell you more but I would be here all day,another story for another day.

Me and my mum were parking up to go and sort out the death certificate for my dad.
I saw in the corner of my eye on my left a dark object, then something touched my neck. There was nothing there and my mum said it's happened to her twice.

It sounds like your Dad might be with you Aphrodite.How did you feel when it happened? Threatened? At ease? Let us know if it happens again.

By the by, How are you holding up?

I lost my Dad in '99 and my Mom in '01. I lost my baby brother (a couple of days before his 34th B-day) it will be 2 years ago in September. He was shot in the back while leaving his father-in-law's house with his wife. They had an argument and he ran up behind my brother and shot him. He got 55 years but I dont think it was enough. Anyway, without getting into all that too much, time does heal and you figure out how to go on. Some days are a little harder than others.

I wish at times my Mom and brother would contact me since I didn't get to tell them goodbye.

Thanks Doe, thats tragic what happened to your brother, sometimes I wish the UK would bring back the death penalty for people like that. I have said in a post somewhere my daughter's middle name is after a friend of mine who was brutally murdered when she was only 15. She was beaten, he broke her chest plate by stamping on her, and wrapped a tow rope round her neck several times then draged her with the car.

Anyways my dad, I wasn't threatened it shocked me and I jumped but I wasn't scared. I think my dad is still around coz lastnight I fell asleep on the couch, and I was awoken by one of Abbey's toys sounding.

It was put away when the kids went to bed.
It was on the floor, so I switched it off, I thought it was Abbey and she'd run back to bed.
I went up to check and everyone was sound asleep.
It hadn't fallen out of the box and switched itself on that way coz it was the right way up and nothing was on it to switch the button on.

So I checked everything again, there was no reason why it ended up on the floor and switched on.
I like to think it was my dad. He knows I believe in life after death, and he knows I'm a witch. He's probably just letting me know it's not over for him.

Aphrodite I'm so appalled about what happened to your friend. Thats just so barbaric. What happened to the monster that did that to her? I hope he didn't get away with it. an eye for an eye.

Thats facinating about the toy. It would be wonderful if it was your Dad. I too believe in life after death and anything is possible.
