Peanut Butter and Bananna Sandwich

Post by SpiritTalker »

It must be the cold, rainy weather is calling up comfort food. This is easy, and I believe originated with Elvis...

GRILLED

Warm your frying pan while prepping the bread.

First fill the sandwich with your favorite peanut butter on one slice and mashed banana on the other.
Then put the slices together with the filling inside, like a usual sandwich.

Next, lightly butter the outside of the bread.

Place it in your warmed pan and let one side brown, then flip it and brown the other side.

Serve with cold beverage.

ON TOAST

Toast some bread. Spread butter and banana on one slice, peanut butter on the other slice. Put the slices together with the filling inside.

This method is not as sticky to handle.

Wish I could eat peanut butter :annoyed:

I ate peanut butter only once a long time ago. If I ever have it again I will try this combination.

FBF I can't eat more than a few peanuts myself, but peanut butter doesn't give the same digestive problems, fortunately. And I'm not allergic to nuts, sooo. One of my former coworkers is an Elvis devotee and swears this was Elvis' favorite. I actually encountered the sandwich while working at a summer camp back in the 70's. I could tell about orange and onion sandwiches if you want... (evil grin) goodnevil

I like to take a straw, punch it through a banana (and the peel at one end) and then pump chocolate syrup into it..

I was talking about Minions with one of my patients this morning. I never knew what the whole "banaannaa" this was about until we went to Universal Studios. Now I know. I still don't like peanut butter and banana sandwiches. The oranges and opinions sandwiches sound like something I would eat.

Thin slice some sweet yellow onions, and some oranges. You can leave the rind on or peel it off. Spread some mayo on bread, add the oranges and onions. Bon appetite. :)

Mm, chocolate bananas. Dang, I'm hungry now.
