I need healing from..
I need healing from..
I am somewhat "addicted" to pornography and I am trying to get rid of it from my life. I reduced the time spent there significantly however I would like, if possible to get rid of such filthy mind forever. I am unsure how to approach it. I tried by myself and it didn't work so far. Maybe my weak mind is the source of it.
Any suggestions?

It would kill your sex drive in a way that you probably wouldn't like .
I personally think porn is great , except for the malevolent stuff.
I don't see it as a problem or anything undesirable .
The only problem I have with it is I worry about what other people think of me .
In reality I don't have a filthy mind . I'm actually a real person off of the internet world . You wouldn't even recognize me . People have hacked me before and thought that they actually knew something about me from the internet and they were completely wrong about everything . Turns out they know nothing about me .

I am unsure about that. I know plenty of people who drink soy milk and all is good.Coven wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 1:13 pm It would kill your sex drive in a way that you probably wouldn't like .

Well, when you think deeply about it, what is porn? You sit at your home and watch 2 or more people F. What an odd perversion. Very unnatural. And you imagine to be the guy doing it or the girl to whom they are doing that.
And it can be bad and it can affect human's thinking in a way to see women as objects for pleasure rather than human beings.

maybe it's just me with the soy milk . who knows ?
Your explanation of the porn situation is only from your point of view . Not everyones brain works the same way.

Perhaps.

Reports say that if an activity such as this or any other thing like smoking or drinking get in the way and start causing havoc in your regular day, then you may need to seek out help. Maybe speak to counselor to determine if you are really overboard, they may be able to give you some tools/prompts to help. This was an interesting article, had a little bit on how to break a pattern.

It didn't go that far. I am not addicted to it so that I watch 100 times in a day. It's like once in 2-3 days. Minor thing. But I would like to completely erase it from my mind.Firebird wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 3:16 pm Reports say that if an activity such as this or any other thing like smoking or drinking get in the way and start causing havoc in your regular day, then you may need to seek out help. Still, the benefits of working this out with a professional may be worth easing your mind, because it is not unhealthy to think about sex. Sounds like you just want to get away from the porn, counseling may also help with ways to curb the desire to go there.

I am not trying to get away, but to have better control over it. Not to be governed by impulses. I already had the "pleasure" to visit professionals in the past and let me tell you, they suck.Firebird wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 9:46 pm Still, the benefits of working this out with a professional may be worth easing your mind, because it is not unhealthy to think about sex. Sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience with "professionals" Some are not great...I've known a few of those, but have had positive experiences with others. I think the way they have you approach your stuff makes all the difference...anyway way enough of that.
You are here on a witchcraft forum. Maybe we can explore if there is a magical approach to this?
I like to use stones or make Talismans for specific issues, have you worked with stones or made a talisman before?

That's the kind of thing I asked for, not the psychologist one.Firebird wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 9:04 pm Sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience with "professionals" Some are not great...I've known a few of those, but have had positive experiences with others. I haven't worked with it.
Re: I need healing from..
I went strait there because actual addiction needs real help but can use the occult as support.
So you'll want to look for something that would remind you to back off and take a breath, gain control over a drifting mind. One of the oldest tricks is a rubber band on the wrist to snap when wandering off but you might prefer a stone in your pocket or a mandala you have designed yourself. Or a combo of things, you will need to empower them with your will/desire, and utilizing/employing a power larger than yourself, be it God or Goddess, the great spirit or Jesus into your item.

Yikes I must away, let me know if that makes sense.
