And I wish to share recipes with you all! I'm the type of crazy person who starts making pumpkin flavored everything as soon as August begins regardless of whether or not it is still a blazing summer or hell outside... So let us use this thread as a shared list of pumpkin everything recipes!
Perhaps we could even use these recipes when planning our Mabon dinners


Easy Gooey Pumpkin Cake with a Simple Glaze

Literally, this is the easiest thing I have ever made and everyone LOVES it.

Cake:
-One 16 oz canned pumpkin
-One box spice cake mix
-A shake of cinnamon to taste

Preheat the oven to 350 and grease a bunt pan. Mix all of your cake things together and bake for about 20 minutes- just keep checking it.

Glaze:
-Powdered sugar
-Milk
-A shake of cinnamon to taste

Shake about a cup and a half of powdered into a bowl. Start adding a small splash of milk at a time into the bowl as well and mix slowly until it becomes the consistency you desire. Then start adding you cinnamon to taste.


Pour the glaze over the cake and serve while it is still hot. People think you broke your back for this cake and all it takes is five total ingrediants and twenty minutes!

My dad grows pumpkins every year. Life is good. Actually up until a few years ago he grew giant pumpkins. Like I think the biggest was around 400 pounds.

I'm thinking about making some pumpkin cranberry bread. I just have to wait a bit, until my shoulder heals enough to allow lifting with my right arm. I need to make some banana chocolate chip mini muffins too. The overripe bananas are taking over my freezer.

You mentioned BlueMoon's pumpkin beer coming out, Southerntier also has a great pumkin beer called Pumpking. Just like drinking pumpkin pie. Delicious.

I'll post the pumpkin cranberry bread recipe. It's super easy, and always turns out well for me. It can be made into muffins too. It just depends on which direction you want to go.

Pumpkin Mac n cheese

Ingredients

1 can (2 cups) pureed pumpkin
1/4 tsp garlic powder, or 2 tsp minced
1/2 tsp plus 1/8 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter spread
1 cup milk of choice
1 cup American or Cheddar shreds (sharp cheddar for me)
8oz macaroni.


Recipe: Combine all sauce ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a complete boil. Lower the heat, and stir until everything is melted. Sauce thickens as it cools. Then mix in the noodles.

I like to put extra cheese on top and bake until the cheese topping is really gooey.

I've. Also made this with cream cheese added and put cinnamon and brown sugar on top to make it sweeter. For this version I use almond milk. This is more of a dessert version.

Im making that pumpkin mac and cheese for a dinner party I'm having on sunday! Yum!

Also, not a recipe, but I'm throwing this out her for all of the coffee drinkers: I have always been a spoonful of sugar and a splash of half and half kinda girl, but my fiance brought home a Bailey's Pumpkin Spice Creamer (non alcoholic, found in the normal dairy isle) and oh my goodness it is amazing. Not too sweet, not a big "kick you in the teeth" type of pumpkin flavor... it just taste like fall and spice. Sipping it makes me feel like I should be sitting on my patio in a hoodie while a crisp breeze is blowing by and the neighborhood kicks play football in my front yard.
AKA its what sweet dreams are made of.
