I'm not really sure what you are asking. So I'll just talk about my bos and hope to hit your question. I bought a scrapbook and if I come across a spell I like I put it in there, I also put things to fit my personality like pictures, dried flowers, stuff like that. I think the more personal the better, traditional is not my style. I use mine to look back at some of the rituals Ive done in the past, it's more of a reference to me, and I like working on it. I hope I answered you...if not I'll try again.

There is no special book that you need to use. It is up to you. Some people keep it on a computer, others in a loose-leaf binder or a regular notebook, others in blank hardcover books. A lot of people, myself included, bless their BOS regardless of its form.

I like to use blank books that I buy. In fact, I am planning on getting a very nice handmade leather bound book as a Yule present to myself. :) I do have one suggestion though. If you plan on going the route I have, I suggest that you begin your BOS as a loose-leaf binder before committing it to a regular book. It’s much easier to change your mind on the structure of the book. Once you're satisfied with the basic outline/layout of your BOS, you can commit it to a book. Make sure to leave room for expansion of certain sections.

I have a Art book. Its hard back and its rather large. It has a ribbon to keep your place and I fill it with spells, rituals, drawings (love to draw lol) diagrams, and everything else. I even have a dried flower from my grandfather in there. I think anything with space to write in can be a BoS. It's a very personal choice.

I chose mine because it looked like it was covered in rough bark. I thought it appropriate.

Thank you all very much. All of your suggestions have helped alot. I would keep it on the computer but there are a few other people that use this computer so yeah. I plan on starting on my BOS very soon and once again thanks.

Mine is the same as Wolf's BOS. Really it's useless to me.....I never actually use it for anything.

I don't call mine a 'Book of Shadows', mine is just a journal about my path. I'll write anything in it - dreams, drawings of the Goddess, animals or even the lovely tree outside of my window, chants, a decription of a thunderstorm that rattled my window and filled me with electrifying energy. Pretty much whatever pops into my mind.

Thank you all for the advice. I have started my own BOS since I last posted and so far I don't have very much in it but it is and shall always be a work in progress. I have a few spell in it, descriptions of one or two of my premonitions, I read that it was good to write them down, and our experiences with a few other spiritiual things. I am really enjoying building my BOS and I look forward to what it may become and when I do fill this one up then I can start a new one and look back at that one. I am really gald that I have become part of this entire experience and once again thank you all for making this experience a wonderful one.
