Beliefs on Certain Aspects

Postby LC » Sun Aug 26, 2018 9:00 am

I’ve been reading as much as I can on paganism, Wicca, and witchcraft. I also like to watch 2 YouTube channels on strange things and events. I can’t find hardly much on how paganism and Wicca view on possession by ghosts and demons as by said mostly from Christians. I’m just curious about how those and similar are viewed.

Use a different search parameter. Many forms of Paganism work with the Ancestors, the spirits of the deceased (what some call ghosts.) The concept of ancestor veneration is viewed more favorably as a partnership of mutual caring & regard. Also, Spiritism, mediumship & channeling are more positive terms than possession, which has a negative inference as being against the will and of overcoming the personality. Wicca doesn't use Spiritism or demonology practices. Spiritism through ancestor veneration is a traditional witchcraft practice & will vary in ways of approaching ancestors but seldom involves possession. Some Afro-Caribbean paths accept being "ridden" by a spirit which sure looks like possession but they say is not. I dont know so can't say. Anyhow Wicca should never be confused with Luciferism where demonology is condoned; since both use magic unfortunately Xns lump everything under Luciferism ... Which is like combining Southern Baptists with Eastern Orthodox Catholics because they both use prayer.

I get so frustrated when I see videos of people going to haunted places and accuse immediately witchcraft as bad/evil. They see a stone table with a hole and automatically think witches and human sacrifice. Or they see a symbol and automatically think it’s a curse or something like that and they don’t know what it is and don’t bother to research. I get aggravated and mad when they cluster us as evil and bad and we all do evil spells and stuff.

Try not to let their ignorance get to you but don't be fooled yourself. It's a bitter pill of modern reality that sick, abominable forms of craft ritual sacrifice (& worse) are out there and they get the click bait headlines when discovered. That's what normies are exposed to in propaganda news. Some regular ghost hunter videos use them to get more viewers.

Witchcraft academic definition is harmful magick. That's how it's been used for centuries before other movements. It doesn't bother me per se, the modern definition is far more broad.
I am the Earth, The Sun and the Stars
And I am the also the Moon
I am all animal and birds,
And I am the outcast as well, and the thief
I am the low person of dreadful deeds,
And the great person of excellent deeds
I am Female. I am Male and I am Neuter.
