I have a friend who is experiencing a lot of health issues because she has developed a hypersensitivity to chemicals, environmental toxins, etc. I was thinking of making a witch's jar but it occurred to me that the typical contents of a jar--rusty nails, thorns, etc--may not be the way to go, even though it draws the negativity away. I'm actually feeling called to create a jar containing items that will cleanse and purify, eg, bloodstone, lavender, etc. distilled water charted with a herkimer diamond, that sort of thing.
Has anyone tried anything like this?
Witch's jar for health?

Re: Witch's jar for health?
I haven't, but I saw some you.tube vids on bottle & jar spells...just as you are describing, with additional trinkets and charms, & ribbons tied around it, just like a charm bag, mojo bag but in a bottle or jar. It is set someplace where it will be seen. It gets shaken occasionally to make it "go" as needed. In one example, an appropriate tarot/playing card was accordion-folded & pushed into the bottle. The person's name, birth, astrological sign were written on colored paper and rolled like a scroll, then sealed with wax to hold it, and the scroll was pushed in too.

That's the one thing I didn't think of, looking on YouTube. Yes, I think of it as a charm bag except in a jar. A charm jar, I guess. Thank you very much, SpiritTalker!
