Malevolent Spirit? Need Help

Hello everyone,

So my girlfriend has been having a lot of trouble with nightmares lately. Now these nightmares are very odd. It seems like a normal dream at first, nothing bad is happening, when all of the sudden it goes black. Out of this blackness comes a skinny man with brown hair and an emotionless face who begins to torture her. The torturing consists of ripping her to shreds, burning her alive, and sewing her mouth shut. All things that she has never told me are phobias or fears of hers. She had her first nightmare of this man a long while ago when she was just a little kid. It stopped for a while and then returned just a few weeks ago. Now, what's even more interesting is that I made a protection spell bag for her and it actually helped..but not fully. She still saw this man. In her most recent nightmare, she was with a friend in a coffee shop and saw the man sitting at a table staring at her. She started running and he chased her, but never tortured her. So it's almost as if my spell bag shielded her from harm, but didn't get rid of him. Tonight is a full moon and I was wondering if any of you guys could give me ideas on how to get rid of him. Hopefully I get something for tonight. Thank you all!

Have you tried making a salt circle around the bed? You may also want to put it around the house.

Afterwards, I would use a banishing spell. Perhaps she could make an image of this man and destroy it in a ritual.

Praying before she sleeps will also fend off attacks, I found.

It is likely the spirit is not human and only appears as such. You could try confronting it in the other world <dreams> but that takes a lot of skill. I think banishing it may be your best bet and destroying an image of it, the best method would be a poppet.

Thank you for the quick response. These are good ideas and the last one about confronting it might be the best option only because she is non-religious and doesn't practice any kind of witchcraft like I do. I forgot to mention that. So it does make it a bit more difficult. But thanks again.

For myself sympathetic magick worked the best from dream invaders. I made a salt circle around our house and I have little problems now.

I agree. The space needs to be cleansed and protected. Remember to boot out negative energies but fill the space with good vibes. Do two rounds. Salt is a fine method. Symbols of protection or herb sachets are good too. She could also wear something blessed for protection while she sleeps.

Is she open to the fact that you practice, or are you in the closet?

If she knows you are you can go ceremonial-style and regularly do a LBRP. That is a powerful cleanser of space.

In a hotel room or someplace weird I do it to clear out energy. If I'm with somebody and I can't do it in actuality-I conduct it in my mind, visually see the whole thing in detail, with my "great voice".

If she is sensitive, or the house is subject to "activity" and negativity-spiritual cleaning should happen regularly.
