Question on energy manipulation

Hello,

I have a question regarding manipulation of (etheric?) bodily energy.

While relaxed or experiencing controlled emotions I can apply what feels like a pressure behind me which causes energy to surge like a wave in my back. Usually I direct it in my upper torso and sometimes I can direct it to my crown as well.
I started practicing Wicca 12 years ago and have taken some time here and there over the years to practice my craft.

One goal i've had is to create physical change through the manipulation of energy through vibrations. When I feel those waves of energy I have difficulty directing them to my hands (which to me I view as a tool in creation, so to fulfill my goal it seems logical to direct energy through my hands and use them as a focus when concentrating on changing the vibration of the energy.

I was wondering what (more in depth) information someone might be able to provide to me on how this works? How does one manipulate energy? How can you use it to create change on the physical realm? Why does my energy typically gather in my back?

Hey there

This is something I have a good five years of practice in. There are a lot of names for what you're doing, but the system I study is Taoist Yoga, which is the circulation of chi through the body's main energy channels.

The main channels are know as the Microcosmic Orbit, which is upwards along the spine and down the front of the face and torso. The 'pressure' you're creating is most likely causing the flow of energy to begin. But ideally, the energy will flow with the breath, and not because of pressure.

But since you're unable to move it to your hands (something which should be very easy to do), I would imagine you aren't using the correct pathway, or the correct pathway is blocked.

If you want to get really good at moving your own energy, I would recommend looking into books by Mantak Chia and his form of NeoTaoism. I would also recommend a form of Yoga or TaiChi to help begin opening and clearing out your energy channels.

Yeah I agree with corvidus. Yoga and TaiChi are great procedures to manipulate one's energy.

I also think there's something in your physical hand that's blocking the energetic pathway. Do you have hand injures or disorders or skin diseases in your hands. Injuries and dis-eases could block the energetic flow of our forces. If there is, then you could use a visualization technique to address the particular blockage. Visualize a stone representing the dis-ease, injury or disorder, and break it down using a hammer representing the treatment. The stone would gradually reduce in size until there are just bits and pieces of dirt which you will sweep away. You may employ this technique every night for a month or two. Through visual energetic imagery you can stimulate changes in many of your body functions usually considered inaccessible to conscious influence.

There are times though, we really can't do it just by ourselves, especially raising of our energies when we're just plainly exhausted, drained, stressed and "low-bat." We need outside help that can manipulate energies towards higher "vibrations". As a healer myself, I've always been very watchful of my energetic levels. And I know when I'm needing outside help to raise my vibrations and take the blockage away. But I've been wiser in choosing who it is I allow into my energy field to fix it.

I have been interested in Tai Chi so I will look in to incorporating into my life.
I have Arthritis/Carpal Tunnel and do on occasion lose control of my hands (dropping an item I'm holding for example).
