Symbols Identification?
Symbols Identification?
Can someone tell me what the symbols mean? This was given to a friend, but she is leery not knowing what it is. I was hoping to help her feel more comfortable in using this. I believe it was made for protection and cleansing. I can smell sage, thyme and possible cedar nettles. Also it is wrapped in green and white twine. IF she was to try and dispose of this because she doesn't want to use it, how might she properly do so?

Do you have a bigger picture than that? I can't quite make out what's along the edges.
Re: Symbols Identification?
No, I do not have any other pictures
. Although I did just send my friend a message to get me better pictures.

Re: Symbols Identification?
.
To me, it looks like her two fingers are at what should actually be the top of the charm, making the side directly opposite her hand, the bottom, and the side her thumb is touching, the left. From that orientation, it looks to me like the Tetragrammaton is in what would be the lower-right quadrant. It seems there is also some kind of "angelic" script in what I think are the upper and lower left quadrants. The script around the edge appears to be Hebrew, as well.
I'm sure the cleansing herbs were well-intended, probably the whole gift was, as was, no doubt, your wish to "help her feel more comfortable in using it." But, my sense is that your friend's initial, general discomfort with the gift itself, and reluctance to use it, is probably her natural intuition guiding her not to do so (but, we don't always listen to our gut instincts, and find out later that we should have --I do it all the time, lol). My advice would be your friend do a whole lot more research on this thing before "using" it in any way.
I have to say that, to me, the magical use of Hebrew and "angelic" script in this way is nothing more than a white-washed, veiled method of, in reality, working sorcery with the jinn. I guess that's the conclusion I've drawn after having researched similar symbology/scripts in the past, and aspects of the entities that "empower" such things, the motivations of people making requests of them, and most importantly, the consequences of their doing so.
I also take into consideration my encounters in the past with what I believe to have been angelic beings, and I can say of a certainty, I have not found that they at any time required of me any such machinations (and no, I am not Christian, nor Muslim, and, I believe, neither are angels, and they interact with anyone regardless of religious affiliation or lack thereof, in other words such parameters are not "requirements," nor is the use of charms and spells, etc.).
But again, this is all just an opinion of mine, and to each his or her own.

Re: Symbols Identification?
Thank you, we were unable to get better pictures unfortunately. Her phone/cmaera will not cooperate >:( I appreciate anything that can be translated or better understood. I, myself, feel it is also a white charm. What bothers her the most, she cannot remember if this was given to her before or after some strange things started happening in her home. she has had a LOT of negativity surrounding her and her family lately, and suspects that it may have stemmed from this item. I have never heard of sage being used for anything negative (although im not as educated in this area as some here may be, hence why im asking for help lol) I believe it can help her and just want to be able to put her at ease with this. Again thank you for anyhelp

Re: Symbols Identification?

Re: Symbols Identification?
Oh wow, this is interesting. I know exactly what the symbol is.
It's King Solomon's 3rd pentacle of Jupiter.
Here's what you can find in The Greater Key of Solomon (an old grimoire):
What is weird though... who gave her this amulet and why? Goetia is some heavy stuff, it would be weird if someone randomly gave her that symbol without knowing where it comes from. Interesting.

You mentioned that your friend has some weird things happening in her home? Was she involved in any kinds of spirit work etc? If so the amulet would protect her from the negativity - it protects the person who invoked the spirit. The Third Pentacle of Jupiter. – This defendeth and protecteth
those who invoke and cause the Spirits to come. When they appear show unto them
this Pentacle and immediately they will obey.
Editor’s Note.– In the upper left hand corner is the Magical Seal of Jupiter with
the letters of the Name IHVH. In the others are the Seal of the Intelligence of Jupiter,
and the Names Adonai and IHVH. Around it is the Versicle from Psalm cxxv. 1:– "A
Song of degrees. They that trust in IHVH shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be
removed, but abideth for ever."
