I spoke on the phone to an incredibly awesome and intelligent Wiccan. He is the high priest of a coven not too far from me. He talked to me to answer some questions I had but he was rushed so didn't have a lot of time to explain everything. (Not to mention he seemed that he knew everyting for so long that he may not realize that I don't how everything works, even something basic to him) Well he mentioned that covens, maybe just BTW covens I'm not sure somehow related their coven to a specific aspect of the triple Goddess. I haven't come across anything like that yet and wondered if any of you have heard of that and know what that means. How would a Maiden Coven be vs a Mother or Crone coven. I understand the differences between each aspect, just not how that would affect a Coven. He also said most that he knows of are the Maiden, some are the Mother, and his coven is the only Crone coven that he knows of. He said that in his teachings, he likes to remind students of the bigger picture. Which I assume pertains to the Crone being wise, old, and knowledgeable, and being able to see the bigger picture where the Maiden and Mother aren't there yet.
Thanks!

I’m not in a coven so I’m only able to guess. My take on suggesting a possible meaning possiblyis the deity form aspected or is “maiden” themed might be focusing as a teaching coven as a newly hived-off group accepting recruits, “mother” might be an established and working group, and “crone” could refer to a group that has worked together over several years & may actually have older, less physically active members?
