Merry meet everyone !
I was wondering if -and how- anyone of you celebrate their birthday in a more pagan way. Since mine is coming up very soon, I was thinking about doing something special, especially since it is my coming of age.
And also, it might be really interesting to see and learn how birthdays can be celebrated !

There are many traditions and rite of age ceremonies but Ive not been able to do any of them due to situations. One of my favorers though is an old but good one. Parents friends and family celebrate with you the night before your birthday and then you spend the night alone contemplating and talking with the gods about your change into adulthood.

Im turning 21 and since im not able to do anything for my bday really i just plan on meditating at midnight for a bit to contemplate some things.
another way is to make your party very wiccan friendly such as making the cake into a symbol you find your connected to and a color your connected to. Chose two shades of candles one to represent childhood and one to represent adulthood, place as many childhood candles as you see as your childhood and as many adulthood ones as your feel like you have been an adult till they add your age. Make a bonfire and tell stories over your youth that you have found to be life altering to you or that you find are the best memories of who you are, reflect on your life and how you came to be on your path.
