why did my banishing spell go wrong
why did my banishing spell go wrong
Hello I did a spell to banish emotions I had for an ex well any type of emotion I had for her. But it doesn't seem to have worked. I feel more consumed by emotions and that has made me depressed. Why did this happen any ideas
Re: why did my banishing spell go wrong
Unfortunately, I've never seen any spell that actually makes emotions vanish overnight. It sounds to me like your spell is actually working.
If you have mixed emotions about an ex (both good, bad, bittersweet, whatever), the only way to really move beyond this is to grieve properly and thoroughly. You need to really feel your emotions and work through them all before you will be able to move on. It sounds like your spell is speeding up the process by making you grieve proactively. My advice is to run with it.

Are you good at writing your own spells, or at least modifying spells written by others? Maybe you could rewrite a spell or ritual for grieving the loss of a loved one to suit your own needs. Some people need to get rid of things that belonged to an ex to move on, while others need some time with the items and the memories to heal. I think the Divine is trying to tell you that feeling these emotions deeply is what you need to fully heal.

I totally agree with Vesca. Grief is a part of human nature and going against nature can sometimes be like headbutting a wall.If you have mixed emotions about an ex (both good, bad, bittersweet, whatever), the only way to really move beyond this is to grieve properly and thoroughly.
