So, the heat disagrees with me and I was wondering
So, the cold disagrees with me and the heat disagrees with me. The heat makes me sick to my stomach even though I think fire is my element.
I was wondering if there is something I can do (without materials as I have none) that can help me with the icky feelings and be able to enjoy my summer vacation? The heat has always disagreed with me but it's been getting worse and worse and earlier, I actually got so hot I almost passed out. I saw black dots and everything.
Im hogging the only fan in the house right now and we don't have air conditioning.
I just got my drivers permit as well, but it's kinda hard to drive while trying not to pass out!
Any thoughts will help!
Thanks!

Re: So, the heat disagrees with me and I was wondering
Definitely drink a lot of water, if you're feeling faint...
I used to dislike the heat a lot. I would complain all summer long.
This year, I for some reason just decided to be excited about it. I feel my strongest affinity is with fire as well. Sometimes I think that I'm already so 'hot' inside that my physical body cannot take any more heat hahaha. Well, I remember once talking with a Korean friend about hot and cold chi and she said since I have a hot chi, I must really like the cooler seasons and cold drinks. I think that made a lot of sense...
Anyway, this year, I just decided I'd be excited about summer. After all, I should be thriving in my element, right? When the weather first started warming up, I would spend more time outside, soaking it up, feeling the power of the God from the sun as he grew stronger each day. I really made a point to have syngergy with the sun this year, instead of "dealing with it" like I normally do. I started walking, biking, and hiking as much as I could before it got super hot. And then even when it was really hot, like it is now, I'd go out and walk anyway. Not strenuous walking, just very light walking around, and even though the sun is making my body uncomfortable... I kind of welcome that feeling. Because I know where it's coming from.
In the end, I don't feel as worn out or miserable after getting too hot now.
I guess what I'm saying is that it can be a matter of perspective. Of course, if you're passing out and feeling ill, there might be more to it than that. But I feel a change in perspective can help. Just tell yourself you love the energy you receive from the sun no matter what it does to your body... really go out their and soak up your element, even if it seems to tax your body. Don't do anything dangerous of course. I mean just hang out outside even if you feel it's too hot. If you start feeling faint or like you really must go inside and cool down, by all means, do it!
But just try to get more accustomed to being really hot, and loving it.
I used to get really tired and worn out from just a little bit of exposure to heat, and would feel faint, and have passed out before from being too hot. I mean, I think that can happen to anyone if they get hot enough, but some people are more sensitive to it or have a lower tolerance. But I think it's possible to build up your tolerance, too.
Well, I know I mostly just rambled, but I hope that could help a bit. Good luck!
(And definitely drink lots of water lol... that could easily by why you felt faint... you need to drink tons and tons of water when it's hot out!)

There is a disease where one cannot regulate the heat or cold, but I can't remember the name...I go looking, but in the meantime, have your thyroid checked, there are other illnesses that make tolerating extreme temperatures very difficult so maybe a trip to the Dr.?
Ok so I went looking and I really can't find it, there is quite a few different medical issues that will cause this.
Be well, Firebird

Oh, I remember I knew someone who had a condition like that. She was in our marching band in high school, but she had to quit because she could not be in the heat for practicing. At first she tried to stay in, but she was only allowed to sit off to the side under a tent, but even that was too much on hot days for her.

As someone else who cannot stand the extreme of hot or cold, I understand.
Start by taking a cold bath, or dousing yourself in water outside. You can meditate lightly in the bath (not to the point where you will fall asleep. Please please do not fall asleep in a bath tub) and invoke the good, cool energies coming from the bath. Hopefully the meditation should ease your heartbeat and the water should cool your skin.

Wow mechanical knowledge, that's great... But do we really need all this crap?
We already have natural air conditioners, they're called forests and rivers

Aye. It was 105 out here Saturday, so me and my family spent all day splashing around the lake!We already have natural air conditioners, they're called forests and rivers![]()
Go for a swim...

It's supposed to reach 110 this week. We're blessed to be surrounded by waterways of various sorts in the region, so I love this time of year.

For sure, who wants to spend their lives in an air conditioned bubble? It's so nice outside.
Wow 110 f is getting up there.
I was offered a job recently in one town where it regularly reaches 122 in summer and the rivers really do have monsters that eat children.
I declined.

Eh, after it hits 90 degrees or so, I can't really feel the difference anymore ...it's just ALL UNCOMFORTABLY HOT, hehe.Wow 110 f is getting up there.
To the original poster, hope you get to the bottom of what's causing your sensitivity with extremes of temperature, especially if it's getting worse. Wish I could suggest something, but that's a question only a doctor could answer. Seeing black dots and almost passing out are nothing to play with, nor should that be ignored. The only thing I could suggest is that you consult both alternative healers, as well as Western establishment doctors. If you could get to a good shaman, or a Chinese herbalist, it would be well worth it. But, also see what Western medicine has to say.
I guess we are blessed to have both at our disposal nowadays: Western medicine is good with diagnostic instruments that pinpoint physical illnesses quickly, and pharmaceuticals that quickly relieve acute symptoms (often without actually solving the underlying problem, though). Chinese medicine is good for solving the underlying problem by bringing all the systems of the body back into a balanced stasis. And shamanism is good for getting to the root the spiritual component of the problem is, like for example, whether it is a karmic carryover from a past life, or a negative spirit entity attachment, or a curse, or what have you.

Drink plenty of water to keep your physical body hydrated. I am not keen on the heat either, but I find other ways to cool down like taking a cool bath/shower. Going swimming. With the fact you tend to pass out, I would suggest seeing a doctor for a check up. My husband is the same way since he had a major heartattack almost 4 years ago. His revolves around his bloodpressure fluxuating so much when it is hot, when it is cold he is fine though. Blessings to you hope you determine the issue.
