household smudging spell

I was smudging my house this morning with sage. I always invoke peace and harmony as I am smudging and I follow the sage with frankincense and myrrh incense. I used this while I used the incense. My house feels good

Very nice Truthseeker. I smudge with sage and sweetgrass. The smell of sweet grass holds something special for me. All I have to do it light it and one little puff of smoke brings about a calming affect on me

When I smudge I was taught to scoop the smoke and bring it to me as though I'm scooping water to my face, hair, arms, heart..etc. While I"m doing this I'm asking to remove all negative energy from me and fill me with positive energy and white light. Then I go to each room say the same thing, plus 4 passes over the opening windows and doors, asking that no negative energy be brought thru these and protect my home, filling it with positive energy and white light. Always say thank you and be grateful all the good held in you home <3

I'm thinking about trying a smudge spray because I'm concerned about the smoke. Does anyone here use this method? Do you think it really makes a difference? Thanks.

I really don't think it makes a difference. We have to be careful, such a with candles. If you cannot use candles or fire, then using the ones with batteries is the safest option. It's the intent and visualization, not the tools we use. We can go out and buy EVERYTHING that we think we need, when standing outside in a forest or a field works just the same

I think this is something one could do, like weekly or monthly...from dark Moon to dark Moon, or full Moon to full Moon.

Another thing... when smudging the house to clear negative energy, I open all the doors and if possible, all the windows. Then work widdershins (counterclockwise) from the front door all around the inside of the house, through each room counterclockwise, with a puff of smoke out each opening (window/door) as you go.
To bring in positive energy, AND use Truthseekers lovely chant... go back to the front door and work deosil (clockwise/sunwise). You can still use your sage bundle or the frankincense and myrrh , but I like to use sweetgrass to bring in the "sweetness" I also tend to sweep the smoke into the house. Chanting through each room, with a puff of smoke through each opening (window/door). Ahhhh, ya, that does feel good!
