Tarot/Rune Cloth

Postby Sallydreams » Fri Jan 08, 2010 11:20 pm

I am trying to learn how to read my Runes and I have read to have a cloth to toss them on and to "protect" them from surface areas and the spirit world.

Does anyone know any good websites I could buy one from?

You could make one. Just use some sort of thicker material in your choice of color or print and hem the edges. If you are not a sewer you could use a nice hand towel or something like that that is thicker. A place mat might even work.

Yea, it has everything on there, and mostly everything is under 10 dollars.

You just need a piece of cloth, a painting brush and a small bottle of fabric paint. It wont cost more than you would spend to order it from the internet, and its a lot more fan to make it on your own :)
ps i keep my runes in a sock, great protection since its wool. :)

I love that idea! I'm thinking I might take an old black (to keep other energies from polluting them) wool sock, cut of the top, hem it and lace a ribbon through it drawstring style to make a pouch! Thank you so much for giving me ideas Witch13!

My runes came with a velvet bag and a "All about Runes" book... and I have the perfect sized box to store the bag in. I need to cleanse the box and decorate it now that I mention it... It's one of those blank-slate boxes that are unstained and such.

Some genreral advice, visit art/hobbie shops often. They have so many isifull things there, paints, clay, brushes, and such that we witches can use for our workings.
