In popular vernacular opening the circle is to cast it, like calling a meeting to order; closing a circle is to dismiss what was summoned & ground the energy, like the close of a meeting.
When you’ve completed your tasks, thank everyone & ground the energy or walk the circle in reverse & sweep it away to disperse the energy. If you didn’t call quarters then air-draw a banishing pentagram
& then just walking through the circle disperses the energy.
