Have any of you considered or experienced a situation where you think you were getting a "sign" that you shouldn't complete a spell or ritual or sigil?
Let's say you made your sigil and charged it, and you planned to burn it but it was abnormally difficult to get it to burn. Maybe it burned out multiple times , or wouldn't light easily and took 4-5 attempts. Would you consider that a sign that your sigil plan was going to interfere with a larger plan.
Maybe this needs another thread all on it's own. How do you look at instances where a "bigger plan" has been set in motion and some rather short sighted or petty goals would actually interfere with the bigger plan.
Have you experienced scenarios where your magic didn't work and only later did you find out that if your magic HAD worked then another boon or learning lesson would have been missed?
Anyone practice Sigil magick?

This should have a name, really happens sometimes. It's like "someone" don't want you doing that. I usually do some kind of divination before performing a ritual or something, don't like to waste time.Have any of you considered or experienced a situation where you think you were getting a "sign" that you shouldn't complete a spell or ritual or sigil?

That is a fantastic idea.
I honestly never considered divination BEFORE a "working"... I always give myself time to really think over what I want to do and if I should and if there will be consequences that are possible outside the scope...
It's why I have done almost no magic at all. Too many possibilities.
So a name for it huh...I'll have to look into that.
I looked into it.
Causal Interference is a good name for making a short term decision that effects your bigger picture.
So then the principle to learn and attempt to understand from this is Causal Inference: the process of drawing a conclusion about a causal connection based on the conditions of the occurrence of an effect.

Just something simple, taking a rune from the bag or something like that, and just for "important" things.
Always are consequences outside the scope, we can't control everything, even in our mundane life.
I have a word about this. I'm sure, pretty sure, you do much more magic than you think. Look at rituals or spells like a medium to make magic. Ritual or spell is like a canvas, you can use it to make art, but you can make art without it.I always give myself time to really think over what I want to do and if I should and if there will be consequences that are possible outside the scope...

Causal Interference is perfect, I'm going to use it. Agree with definition. So a name for it huh...I'll have to look into that.

Re: Anyone practice Sigil magick?
So just to update.
The spell I tried to activate that didn't want to burn and was just a giant pain the butt to get to burn..
Turns out the whole situation went sideways about a week ago.
So my attempts to do a spell contingent on a time frame that continued to fail...was in itself PROOF that the future path was already out of reach at the time that I attempted to influence it.
Just something to consider.
I'm now 100% sold on the reality that magic pushes back, when a larger plan is already in place. Law of thermodynamics.
