ok, as stated in my introduction thread, i have a bit of a problem. Now, this is a multistage problem, so we'll tackle it in groups os easily answerable questions. But first, the story:

I have an ex-girlfriend who was into witchcraft a little. And not the good kind. She would read books about Satanism, considered herself to be a conduit of some sort for ghosts that she claimed to see all the time, used tarot cards (which i know aren't evil! but anything can be in the wrong hands right?) and was just a general jerkweed to everyone. So we were going out for well over a year and our break-up was particularly nasty.We had both done things that were less than moral with other people. However in my defense, she actually did them and i only scraped the surface of it. Anyway, now to my problem, i've noticed since then, about a year and a half ago, that i haven't made any progress towards getting another relationship. No matter how perfect the girl is or how much she says she likes me, it never works. I nearly lost a best friend over a girl in this way. So my suspicion is that she did something to cause my life to be like this.

alright, now you know the story, here are my questions:

1. Is there even such things as "evil witchcraft"? Or has pop culture and movies led me astray?

2. If so, could she have done something to "curse " me?

3. If true, then is there a way i can help myself or, if willing, you could help me? (i wish i had something to return!)

Now i realize that chances are i'm just on a string of bad luck and that a year and half of being single isn't that long. But i'm 18, which inherently makes me stupid, rash, and on the verge of irrational. Another question i have that's only loosely related to the thread, Is the "rule of threes" real? Where you get back three times as much as you give? Or have movies lied to me again?

Lastly, i would like to thank all of you who read this and tolerated my nonsense. I'd also like to say that i don't want anything bad to happen to her, i believe that the best revenge is to live a good life. Again, thank you.

Well, I might as well come right out with it, I don't know how to help to you. But, many people here do.

I believe that witchcraft is evil only if the person preforming it has evil intentions.

And yes, she very well could have done something to curse you and bring you bad luck,

Lastly, the three fold rule is only as real as you want it to be. I live by it. It helps me think about the consequences of my actions a bit better.

And, being single isn't so bad! You have more time to do what you want to do, and in your case, no spending extra cash taking the lucky gal out to dinner and a movie.
But, I've had a whole slew of horrible relationships. One just has to be optimistic.

You'll find some one great. It just may not be when you expect/ or want it to be.

Hah, that did help. I sound pretty ridiculous don't i? I still want help though! Don't get me wrong. I think i may have just got really wrapped up in this possibility. Oh well, we'll see what happens. And thank you by the way.

Secondly, forgive your X. I know that sounds weird but the start of any emotional healing is forgiviness - you'll never be fully cleansed if you are holding on to any bad feelings. You don't have to actually contact her or anything like that, just forgive her in your own heart. Even if you don't think you're holding any grudges, you need to go through the process anyway. Another bit of advise would be to never look for qualities in the next that you disliked in the last, they just might not be there until you project them.

I know you get tired of hearing "you're young, have patience" - I HATED that! but now that I'm one of the older ones (sigh) I can look back and see soooooooooo much. You will meet many great young ladies, and one or two will be the love(s) of your life. I believe we can have more than one soul mate, thankfully. Just sit back and enjoy yourself! Treat your ladies with respect and love at all times (even if your not "In Love") and enjoy yourself. Take the pressure off yourself. The ladies will enjoy being with you for the time you are to be together, and if you part, they will always thank of you with fondness. That is a great way to be remembered. And THE ONE? She will be the one that doesn't leave.

I would like to answer some of your questions:

-Yes, there is. Every witch or druid or shaman or "..." has the ability to direct their intents and energies towards harming other people. The Wiccan Rede discourages such acts however and with good reason.

-Yes, It is possible but the only one who can know whether she did it or not is herself. She might have or she might not have...

-Yes, I know of a way which I will post below...

- It is real, it's called karma... If you send out harmful energies towards others, one day it will come back to you. I have seen it happen.



My cleansing ritual - This has been passed down through the generations in my part of the world. It is used whenever someone wishes to get rid of harmful energies cast on them or simply to get out of a rut... It is known as a "flower bath"...

What you need:
A new pail
Seven flowers of seven different colours
A lime

Bathe yourself first. Take the pail and fill it with water. Put in the flowers and the juice of the lime.

Offer a prayer, say to the water what you would like to happen, i.e. "please cleanse me of...."

If you like a particular God or Goddess, invoke them.

Take the pail and invert it over your head either all at once or slowly. Visualize yourself being cleansed of any evils.

Now comes the hard part...DO NOT pick up the fallen flowers with your own hand for they are supposed to contain all the harmful energies cleansed from you... If there are any on your body simply use water to wash them off. Tread carefully away from the flowers.

Sweep them up into a bag and throw them away.
