Its great to know you dont care, but i whould really really be carful, if your parents and school are anything like mine where then there ganna give you trubal. The school i whent to whould have sent you to the guidence conculer and called your parents. My parents told me if i ever whent "weird" ( useing exact words here too ) on them i was first going to a paster to have alot of consuling then going into a psychword or something stupid like that if the paster didnt help. I know not many peoples parents are like mine...but if there even a little like them then you will atlest be grounded. But if you live in the bible belt, like me...so unfortunetly...then people will probly start comeing up to you and telling you what thay told me.

I'm really not trying to discorage you on telling people about it. But like i said if the school gives a flip ( like the prencipal is christion or something ) then theres a chanse you will get sent to the guidence counceler so thay can see if your "disturbed" or some crap. I know this is what my school whould have done, when i whent to her once for a belt or something stupid like that i remeber seeing a very pissed off girl in there whereing a pentagram.

The whole county is full of friggin Christians! :x I hate it!! You know how it's against the law to speak about religions at school?.....Well our teachers do that ALL THE TIME!!!! Just a couple weeks ago Williams said (and this is exactly what she said) "I'm going to preach to you today." And that's pretty much what she did. Then she had the nerve tho say "Now don't go home and tell your parents that I preached to you today......"(then there was something else but I tuned out by then.) MY parents aren't that religious. The last time the went to church was 3 or 4 years ago. That was only me, my sister, and my mom. Dad hates church. (Maybe that's where I get my hate for most Christians from....I get all of my other personality traits from him...) Anyway, I don't think my school would freak quite that badly....but then again your school did and the Lifetime movie "Not Like Everyone Else" is based on a true story. It just shows how crazy, afraid, and parnoid people have become. I swear I think one of these days the Burning Times may come back again but with fair trials and more weapons.

But anyway, Fleming's cool enough- and smart too- not to do something like that. Chances are he already knows what a pentagram really means.

Actually... The religion has declined quite far. I don't remember the exact number, but apparently only about 29% of the USA is Christian now. I thought that was wrong, but when I thought about the demographic around here it makes sense.

Not that that trivia helped anything!
I'm glad you have a cool teacher, though. All of mine would have started the church counselling thing, too. Counsellors are awesome when you go to them, but as soon as you're sent they don't really listen to or believe whatever you have to say.

Yeah , the only time i remeber talking about religion in school was for 3 days in 6th grade. Thay really did do a good job keeping things down there, we didnt even talk about christianity, but thats because half the class whent to my church alone.

I saw the reveiw for that movie i wanted to see it but i dont have cable :(. But yeah i whould have gone to counsuling, and if i was to tell my mom now she whould bugg tha crap out of me tell i go to a counceler or a preacher or some stupid crap.

When i was really really younge back in KY i whent to the counceler alot, because of my brother, and when he died, and then my parents wanted to foster a child and then befor i moved, she was a very good counceler, i always remeber her listiong and talking about things, if i could find someone like that i whould counsider going.

Really 29%? My fionce thinks christianity is parasitic it takes over things and clames them as there own. I agree, if things dont work out there way thay clame its always been like that, or that thay have always agreed, stupid crap like that.

Where did you find the statistics anyways? i whould like to look at the usa's religion statistics and see where eveything falls.

Addelaide, it was something I just happened to skim over a couple weeks ago by accident. I'll see if I can find it again. It wasn't related to what I was really looking for at the time, I don't think.

But I do agree about the parasitic thing. I know why they did that, and it makes sense, but it doesn't make it right. Every 'Christian' holiday is based off a pagan one and plenty of the 'saints' are pagan deities with Saint added to the front of their name. It makes the religion seem more like a tool for control and power than a real attempt to 'save' anyone. Instead of having the faith and conviction in their beliefs to try to teach the people they care about what they think is right they change their beliefs to something that would influence, intimidate and control the population.

At least the Al Qaeda just say 'our way is right'. They believe what they are saying. As annoying as it is to have someone else's beliefs shoved down your throat.

(By they I mean the people in power at the time, not Christians in general).

I think I'm in a bad mood today. I'll come back later.

It doesn't seem to be declining around here! Well actually now that I think about it, a bunch of people I know are atheist or hate church and want to change religions. Anyway, if I do ever get sent to the counceler then that's fine by me. I've actually thought about going to her and telling her about how this school treats certain people. I'm really fed up with people getting picked on! A couple of weeks ago this girl I hang out with in gym class apparently got sent to the wellness center because a teacher- they wouldn't say who- complained about her smelling! I've been around her a bunch of times and she NEVER stunk. And that was in gym class, the class where you sweat! (we don't sweat though....we don't do enough to sweat.) I know exactly who it was: Coach Barker! I HATE HIM!!!! I had him as a gym teacher in elementary school and now he teaches the middle school because our old teacher was suspened for glambling the school's money or something like that......Awnyway, he's had a grudge against her and I since day one of class. We never wanted to change our clothes so he gave us D-hall and said if we don't start dressing then we'll get ISS. It was a dumb and hollow threat but I dressed anyway (parents.)
Well only do a few P.A.C.E.R. laps- about 7- then quit. If we're playing something like kickball, baseball, or dodgeball we won't really do much. The two of us only like to play DDR or cup stacking. To sum it up, he did it and he should have some balls and admit he sent her the wellness center for "smelling."

Oh gosh. That was a long pointless rant.....well back to what we're talking about.

Holidays?!?! Please don't get me started on those! Too late......It really tickes me off that the Christain holidays are recognized and people get leave school or work for a couple of days or so, but other religions don't get that kind of treatment. If someone wants Yom Kippur or whatever off they would have to request it instead of it being just a national thing. Just because some religions are a little less "popular" doesn't mean they should be treated as though they don't exist. Okay I'm stopping now.....

But I do agree about the parasitic thing. I know why they did that, and it makes sense, but it doesn't make it right. That is so true! When I went to church......I don't think I can finish that sentence seeing as how I can't remember church......One thing I do remember, which I think is quite funny (not in the laughing sense), is that when we went over the ten commandments I remember thinking that they were so stupid and pointless. Come to think of it, the only reason went to chruch was to talk to the girls in my missionettes group.......OKay I'm done going off topic....... :D

Wow, that was quite a rant right there lol. But I understand where your comming from. I used to feel that christians were evil and that they thought we should die and that it was ALLLLLLL their fault that my life was falling apart, but now, I realized that alot of times they only do what they do out of fear. They fear hell, and what they don't know. They fear us because our knowledge is ocult and out of their understanding. They don't really think what they are doing is wrong, they just do it because that's what they are taught to do. All my friends except one is christian and I try to understand them so I don't hate them. I live in the bible belt too and alot of people still live by the burning times rules. "never suffer a witch to live" and so forth. My own mother threatened to disown me or send me to a christian school when she heard a rumor (that wasn't really a rumor) that I was a witch.

And the declining thing I think I can understand. I just didn't thank their groups had gotten that small. It amazes and gives me some hope. :)

How are they pointless? Some are (worshipping a false idol? I consider that to be Jesus, but whatever) but most of them are actually really good pointers for living. Don't murder? You'd think that would be common sense, but it happens anyway.

I think what I'm trying to say is that if you're hating them for not understanding your religion then you're acting as bad as them. Calm down a sec and think about what some of these things stand for. The fundamentalism sucks the big one, but what is pointless about any writing that says 'love thy neighbor'? You'll get more results by understanding than by hating in my opinion. Ranting is perfectly ok though. That's fun and somewhat healthy!

Sorry if it sounded like I hated ALL Christains and blame them for stuff. I don't.....I just dislike a lot of them. What are the ten commandments anyway? I forgot already. I don't know why exactly I thought that but I did. And there are some things I agree with in the Christain religion. It's just the people that take it way too seriously that I have problem with. Don't get me wrong it's great that they love what they believe in but some people should just know when it's appropriate to talk about their beliefs and when it's not. I don't hate them for not understanding, I semi-hate some of them for relying too much on their God to tell them what to do and not on themsleves. I think I would've maybe hated them less if I hadn't went to such a messed up church. At the one I went to they would talk to you and be all friendly with you, but as soon as you quit going there they wouldn't say a word to you in public. They were nice people but just I little odd about that part. I kinda miss a few of the people there, like Catherine and Angel. They were fun in missionettes. I think they moved......

It's ok, I think we're on the same page now, and I understand.

As with any religion, fundamentalism can be very hurtful and destructive. But the message can still be a good one.

What's missionettes?

Oh yeah, and the ten commandments were:

You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make for yourself an Idol.
You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God.
Remember the Sabbath day, and keep it holy.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor's wife (or house).

I took that from wikipedia... For some reason it seems off but whatever. I can hardly be accused of paying attention to everything Christian.

Heres the ones i found there more...old world.

1. I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
3. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.
