I would just get some cinnamon, a few apple slices, an apple peel, and orange zest, and a bit of jelly, just to combine everything, make it strawberry preserves, and then put it in hot water, and let it sit for a half day, then heat it to your own person preference. then just drink a cup of this every time you feel your thraot hurting, if you makealot, then just enclose it in a container and refridgerate it,, then heat again when needed, but i suggest you only make it when needed,(put the ingredients in a thin cloth bag b4 soaking in water, like a teabag)

It works for me

I have found the best cure for a sore throat is to gargle with Sage tea, my family swear by it.
Make an infusion by placing 2 teaspoons of fresh sage or 1 teaspoon of dried sage in a cup and pouring over boiling water. Add 2 teaspoons of honey, place a lid on top and leave for 10 mins. Strain.
With each sip you want to gargle the liquid before you swallow, this ensures that the healing properties reach the very parts that are sore.

Honey absolutely. Honey contains natural antibiotics which can help with a sore throat. My Granny always gave me a tablespoon of honey with a few drops of lemon in it.

Salt water gargles are also effective against sore throats.
