Menstration and the moon

I have read a bit on energy levels while menstrating. I have found this to be true but I know about the power within. Any difference with anyone else? Guys not excluded. Any info?

I'm not sure about that but I have been told that you shouldn't do magick while you are menstrating. I was told that it's an insult to the Goddess because it's the life she gave you and it's dieing by being released from you, I'm not sure if this is true though.

I can't really bring myself to belive that the Goddess would be angry at every women for not poping out a child every 10 months...

From what I understand magick during menstration, is kinda like the ocean tides. High tides a good time to go swimming, Low tides a good time to lie on the beach. So perhaps certain things are better done at different times.

I can't speak from experience on this particular matter, but what I've read says that women are more powerful and in tune when they are menstruating; menstruation is sometimes called, 'Blood of the Moon,' and the cycle of menstruation is a reflection of the cycles of the moon.

Again, no experience here, but that's what I have read.

Did a spell. Results were interesting. Later read while mensturating women have more power. I know there can be many reasons for the outcome but had to wounder. Wanted to know what people thought.

I am still new to this board and when I came across this topic I found it very interesting.

I have also heard a woman is more powerful during her menstral cycle. And I have also heard taht if a group of women hanging out together, a lot, that their cycles can be pretty much on the same time frame about every month. (from experience this is true)

Also i have heard that you shouldn't do any magic while you are on your menstraul.

I also have done research on this topic in referencing to the Native American beliefs. Now my memory kinda is not here lately lol (kids home from school, summer break) but I can pretty much remember that the old tradition was that when a woman started her menstrual that it was a very special time and that she was not to cook or clean but to be separated from everyone. This is just something brief and I am sure differs from tribe to tribe. But I know I have read it in a book somewhere (just cannot remember the book). Because after reading this it had dawned on me to check to see what cycle the moon was in when my son was born (the one that has pdd,nos) and i then discovered that he was born on the week of the full moon so in turn, became a prediction of his behaviour.

Just wanted to add my thoughts and I feel that you do a spell when you are meant to and when conditions are right for that. But remember in all my research, a woman's power level is a lot higher at the menstrual time of the month.

From my experience, it depends on what type of spells you are doing. Some spells work best when you're menstruating, others won't work.

Wow that is very very interesting..I've actually never read anything pertaining to menstrating ..It would make a bit of sense though that it would be a more powerful time and I can definitely see it as being in tune with the moon phases ..My friend actually was recently telling me that she read somewhere that most women start menstrating within 3 days(possibly before or after ) the New Moon..I'm unsure as to the validity of that and I welcome anyones comments..

I have been reading Living Wicca by Scott Cunningham, it does talk about the woman being more powerful during menstruation. I thought that was very interesting, and very neat. Kinda makes me feel special, lol.

This feels a little weird talking about it but i find the comment about the 3 days after the new moon intresting, i am "scedualed" to start 3 days befor the new moon or on it. But i do have a question, has anyone ever herd of a spell that helps...regulate...your cycles? I have been on medasin for about a year and a half to regulate it and it really hasnt worked that well i dont think. Like i said i am scedualed, but sometimes it dosnt start tell almost 5 days after when it should. I was told not to worry about it by the docters but i thought it was a little too off.

Another question, to anyone who belives the Goddess whould be upset about wemon doing rituals on the cycle, what about people on bithcontrole, not only are that not getting pregnat but there also preventing to the best of there abilitys, do you think she whould be very displessed with that?

Persoanly i kinda see it as, shes a woman, she understand why you whould wanna get pregnate all the time. Children are blessings but there not for every one. Sorry that was longer than i planed.

That would be interesting to find something that would help regulate a woman's cycle. If anything is found I would try it. If I am not on birth control I will go a months without a cycle at all.

Well the reson i was put on BC was because i told the dr i had been menstrating for almost a mounth and hadnt had a cycle in about 2....and well...it wasnt really a cycle, i belive it was a misscarrage, but i was under 17 so i couldnt go in without my mom to get the birth controle, and my cycles never where right anyways.
