I've been to two stores and can not find a plain green votive candle and do not have time to order one before Thursday for a money prosperity spell, can I substitute a white one for the green? Or can I paint the outside green?
No idea why a plain green candle is not available ...
I have the same problem every store i go to has the whole rainbow and everything in between except for plain old green
I personally believe that the intention is more important than the tools so you could still successfully do the spell without that one candle but thats only my opinion.
If painting it will help you then do that
Maybe rub onto the candle an oil or something with money/success correspondence like acacia or bayberry?
I am using peppermint oil
I have always felt the same way to, but wanted to be sure.
I guess green candles are either really popular and they sell out fast or not something the stores carry often.
You could melt down a tea light candle and add either some green candle dye or shavings from a green crayon will work just as well. Just don't use too much crayon and don't use food coloring as tempting as that might be. If you can't do that then you could go to the party section of your local bargain store or supermarket and look for birthday candles. They usually come in mixed color packs for a few dollars. I picked up a 12 pack of metallic colors for $2 the other day.
Yes you can use a white candle instead of a green one. i've used white numerous times and haven't seen a difference in the outcome if I had used a green one.
You could use gold or black, if you have either available. Gold is, well, like gold. Black for underground where rich minerals and gems can be found. White would certainly also work, and you could anoint the candle with money or drawing oils, or carve symbols onto it, as well.
