What are these silver threads?

So I never thought much about it but when I begin energy work I create a circuit using my body. As I improved I can hold this circuit without physical contact by touching the middle finger of each hand to the wrist of the other hand where the vein is most visible. This creates a silver thread connecting my hands. I'm curious what this is and what others may be able to tell me about it.

The color silver and the metal silver are both healing and empowering things, used for holding holy water and to wear a silver ring to amplify your power, maybe what you are making is magic silver that you could make jewellery out of but only exsists outside of this world. maybe also look up palm reading if the connecting areas are very specific and see what that says, could be you are sharing your bodies energies to different parts, such as from the heart line to the fate line. other than that i would presume its simply a different form of energy minipulation

I sort of always assumed it was the energy body. When I hold my hands so the fingertips are 1/2 inch apart, I"ll see a faint bar of light connecting between my fingers. I can feel a spongy resistance. It's the same thing we "charge" with magical intent to empower spell components. If I concentrate & draw my hands apart the bar stretches like a rubber band.

We can attract orgone energy right out of thin air and encode it with our energy-body. Or at least, that's how I think of it... not saying I'm right, just me rambling on.

Spirit Talker is correct, on one level. It is "an" energy body, as we have layers to that. The silver thread is connected to the elements as well, as is your internal light, and a protective energy. When one astral travels, it is your silver thread which
keeps you connected, and grounded so you may come back.

I also concur, but I'll add that the channels you're connecting are part of the "eight psychic channels" of a few taoist traditions.

Keeping these channels clear and continuously flowing is very important.

@Blackwolf and Corvidus, do you have any idea what kind of matter the energy bodies are made of? Is there a name for the material? Bio-electro-magnetic? Is the silver cord the same material as the energy body? Same but different level?

Nope. More closely related to the meridians in traditional Chinese acupuncture. They also have a lot to do with the lymphatic system as well, I find.

Electromagnetism comes close to it I think. In my own understanding of the energy body's hierarchy, from the bottom up:

Physical Body/biochemical energy
Sexual/Generative energy
Electromagnetic
Mental
Aural -- very passive, and might only be a byproduct of the interactions between the first 4.
