I want to know what magic there is that involves the stars without going to the astrology side of things. I adore the stars, they make me feel alive and tingle at the concept of so much potential out there in space. I love it to bits and if there is magic to do with stars I would like to learn about it.

Re: Star magic?
Raven Grimassi (dang I never can remember how to spell his name) has written on it as one of the branches of Italian magic. Check his website.
Sandra Kynes also has written on it. Check Amazon for book descriptions. That'll give you some search key words too.

Re: Star magic?
Raven Grimassi...an old associate, and one I had cyberspace conversations with long ago on other sites ;
He is a good source and I shall post a link to what you are thinking of ;
http://www.ravengrimassi.net/
And here is some info on the Watchers and the stars :
http://www.stregheria.com/parallels.htm
Further there is much in Middle Eastern, and Egyptian Tradition, as well Dogon. Yet Star Magic(k) is advanced, and many Old Traditions warn of working with it until you have a full and grounded foundation in magical practice and witchcraft.
I would begin with books on star lore first (IMO)
Understand this from the point of two information sources seemingly opposed yet not :
Quantum physics and research into Dark Energy (not Dark Matter), and then Uncle Al, or as most know him, Aleister Crowley.
Who said something even most of his initiates do not get the full implication of: "The Khabs Is In The Khu, Not The Khu In The Khabs." Meaning, in *this* context, the star is in the light, not the light in the star. As in the negative of a photograph, or mirror universe, the reverse of normal that we perceive for in truth the star is powered by the dark energy "in between the spaces," as Lovecraft would say.
And that energy is not to be trifled with, by anyone, thus the old warning to start with a firm foundation,learning how to run Earth and planetary energy, before one attempts to work with the energy of the stars.
(Disclaimer: all of the above is said from my experience, knowledge, the experience and knowledge of all those gone before I am familiar with and of course IMO)

Re: Star magic?
For me, the stars are an ancient echo of a lost home.
