2016: the year of nightmares

With it becoming the new year, 2017, I've been scrolling on facebook, and on others sites, and one thing a lot of people that I at least talk to, seem to all agree that 2016 was in general, a cursed year. So many people died, so many beloved pets died, and just, awful stuff. The shootings, alligator attack, attacks. I don't have that much knowledge on politics, let alone foreign politics, but England leaving the EU seemed pretty bad; I don't think it's right to get into American politics.

For the last few days of 2016 I have seen that many people lost their pets, myself included. Which, people do loose pets all the time, but it's a little weird that they are all close, and that so many of my friends in two days lost their fur-babies.

Do y'all think that something funky might have been going on with 2016? Or was it all just really bad luck?

I think that the world is approaching a great global change.

What we've seen in Europe is terrifying indeed. Brexit, and mainly several large terrorist attacks and many - hundreds of small scale attacks of immigrants on common people and police. And on New Year in Istanbul again! 39 dead 69 injured (numbers I saw yesterday morning)
I hope there's no need to go into details about Aleppo and middle east.

There's a general decline in trust in the EU, European public is divided and right wing parties gain popularity.

Elections in Slovakia have been a disaster - we've got a neo Nazi party in the Parliament. We also have a party led by a local celebrity who is a businessman famous for having 9 children, each with another woman. His party is called We Are Family. No kidding. This would be really funny if it wasn't so sad. It was a miracle that relatively mainstream parties who normally hate each other agreed to form a government. Otherwise the country would end up in a huge mess during our Presidency of the EU.

I think we can expect things to evolve in this direction. Humanity is at the crossroads. This doesn't make me anxious, though. I feel it is supposed to happen, it was meant to be so. It's a strange feeling which I can't explain.

For a few years now,I've had this feeling that humanity is going in the wrong direction and that people almost lost their humanity for irrelevant things. Many don't respect any moral rules any more,for the sake of power and money.
People tend to care only about themselves and work for their goals. This can especially be seen at those with political or other type of power.

For example: like Moon said,in Aleppo,the one that wants to rule the country gave orders that everyone who is against his ideas,should be executed. I don't know now who is more responsible for the killings;the one who ordered,or the ones who do it. They all lost their morality anyway. Especially in Aleppo,regular citizens;women and children were executed and killed in awful ways. Even the volunteers from MSF and Red Cross that came to help the injured were shot and bombed. They now have to hide in basements and improvise hospitals by themselves. Even the directors of these organisations were payed and betrayed the volunteers by revealing their location to the "army" that came after them and the results are known.

Another example can be a more personal one: my parents have a small business and one of the employees is a woman coming from a poor half-gypsy family. Nobody would give her a job because they didn't trust her with anything. My parents gave her a job,helped her buy furniture for her house,took a loan for her,because she already had a few and wasn't allowed to take one more,payed for her girl's kindergarte (only a private one accepted her because of her being gypsy),and convinced the principal of the elementary school I went to,to take her in. I tutored the girl who is 4 years younger than me,gave my old books/clothes/toys (which were almost new) and we bought her everything she needed for school at the beginning of each year. My mom helped the woman get a divorce from her drunk,abusive husband and buy a house of her own. My dad was blood donnor and also payed for her mother's kidney transplant. We cared for them and loved them like family;the girl,was practicaly my sister and I taught her everything my mom taught me about adulthood and others. We are not wealthy or something,yes,we had more than she hadded,but only because my parents worked hard for it and we raised money to get what we have.
At the beginning of 2016,that woman came to work,started to yell that she is not enough payed and that she works more than my parents who have better salaries. Yes,they gain with 100 Euros more than she does,but when she goes home,they have to talk to clients,do the paper-work,pay all the taxes and so on.
She told us she found a better-paid job and that we destroyed her life. She "cursed" us and also threatened to burn the house down and make sure "bad things" will happen to me.
Now,when she sees us on the street or in the shop,she spits and yells that we should go to hell or everything else that involves the f-word.
Now the woman moved back with the abusive guy,the girl who is now 14,is pregnant.

This and many more other made me lose my faith in humanity and even hope for a traumatic event that will make us change.
Mercy,trust,friendship and love for everything that is around us are almost lost feelings. Only those few that follow the "spiritual path" remember those and struggle to follow and respect them. This is a good start,but the majority tends not to accept them and their beliefs.
Humanity will go in that direction,untill it will almost destroy itself and only then,people will understand which are the actual values and what is really important.
I don't see another way of changing the mentality of thousands of people.
This process started a long while ago,but I think 2016 was the official beginning and the following years will show even more violence and loss of morality. This is why the universe is and will also work against us. Call it Karma,Three-fold Law or whatever,the Universe is punishing for the horrible actions.

I,for one,will try to do my best for keeping the morality and I am looking forward for the change,regardless of its nature.

We are moving well into the astrological age of Aquarius (not to be confused with sun signs, similar, but ages last much much longer than sun signs). I believe as we move out of the age of Pisces and into Aquarius, there will be some difficulties. It's a time of change and translation, and even for those of us who embrace change, it can still take an adjustment period. And I think that where we are right now, in an adjustment period getting use to the changes of the new age. Now the question is "will this be a positive change?". I think so. Aquarius is all about equality and humanitarianism. And you can see that with all the current human rights issues popping up and people starting to stand against those that discriminate. Aquarius is also an air sign, so I expect this to eventually be an intellectual period, but I also expect a lot of that to intellectualism to be used to learn more about space. Aquarius is an image of a person pouring a pitcher of watch out towards the earth. This "water" has been interpreted as spiritual knowledge do with our space exploration, I expect us to learn more about our own creation or evolution, and I think this will executable change things spiritually for many of us humans.

Thank you! I know, I had gotten use to the old one too! What happened was that picture was one I had on my old phone and yesterday for some reason I went to look at on Tapatalk and when I enlarged it, it was all blurry! So my thought was to crop the original so it would be smaller, because I was assuming I had had a blurry image all this time. So I delete it, and after the fact, realized I don't have the original image saved to my new phone and it's pretty much gone forever.. so I had to choose a new one. After that I decided to look at and enlarge someone else's picture on tapatalk and it was blurry too! Then another and another, I opened my new picture it was blurry too! So after all that, it must just be Tapatalk.. sorry for the confusion! I'll keep this one going forward!

Bychan, what you described is soooo awful! I felt your raging emotions as I read your post. It's incredible how some people behave!!! That's why we must learn about morality the hard way. Humanity needed World War II before it accepted human rights. Now we will face even greater catastrophe before we accept the need for true morality and ecological values. It's almost like when a child needs to burn it's hand to learn that the stove is hot. It's not enough to hear warnings.
