Celtic witchcraft (?)

Postby raewood » Mon Oct 12, 2015 10:33 pm

Hello lovelies-
I hope you are all having a wonderful day.

So here's my question.
I have been looking around online for info and there's a lot to pick through. But I was wondering who on here practices celtic witchcraft. I'm not sure if that is how you would phrase it.
I am VERY irish. Probably about 80% at least. (even my maiden name is Fitzpatrick) and I have always been proud of my heritage. Is there anything that I can look into for info on Irish/Celtic traditions or anything really.
I think this is something I would like to explore.
Any info would be great.

Also when you first started your path where did you look? What did you read? Where is good info?

Thanks!

In the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids we do, what I would call Celtic magic. There are a lot of witches there too, like me.

Celtic witchcraft would basically be working with:

Trees,
Ogham
Natural ley lines and natural places of energy
learning the Celtic mythology
Working with Celtic deities
Working with nature spirits (fairy).

But also doing a lot of witchy stuff that others do as well.
Witchcraft & OBOD Druidry.

I find that I call on a different form of energy in Celtic Witchcraft as well l. When I do things like calling down Loa, it feels like the energy of the veil. A hidden thing that I barely conceive. While in doing things blessing a place in the name of Isis, I choose a more divine and purifying energy. In casting Aphrodite's energy into potions, I use a more graceful, swan-like energy. But, in doing things like calling down Cernnunos for courage, I pull up a more primal and ancient energy. I actually have them all associated with different songs, I could share if you like.
