Something feels wrong. Help.

For conversations and questions about hauntings and spirit visitations. This is not the place to talk about demons. In fact, this whole board isn't the place for it. A Christian site is a better place for that.

Something feels wrong. Help.

Postby raewood » Wed May 27, 2015 1:36 am

OK. So tonight I was sitting on the balcony of my new apartment. It had just rained, and I felt like having a smoke. And I didn't want to do it inside. (I don't smoke very often, mostly socially). Anyways. So I was sitting out there my back to the sliding glass door. And I was like "hey, I feel like taking a selfie" so I pulled out my phone and turned it to the inside camera. The ember at the end of cigarette glowed purple in the camera. So while I was trying to figure out why this was happening, I stiffened up. I got that feeling when someone is watching you, but worse was it was coming from behind me. Inside my new place. My husband had just left for work. (he works midnight to 9am)... so now I'm sitting alone in my new place. Finally shook off the feeling and jumped on here. I read a reply to a post of mine and just read, the psychic powers of man posted by Seraphin. It was cool, because I finally had a word for what I have experienced my whole life. Clairsentience. I was replying to the thread relating it what I've went through.
it said this, and this is what I replied.
People who have this ability can tell if there are spirits around a house or any place without seeing them. some are more sensitive to the point that they can identify the negative ones. People who can sense highly negative entities often feel difficulty or heaviness in their breathing and some developed headaches. Others have goosebumps or feel their hair standing up.
This is me! I get the signs above. But it usually starts with rolling gut feeling and nausea...sometimes I get a metallic taste in my mouth...
I've driven by places that had a heavy negative feel to them, not knowing that they were there or how close they were, and almost threw up about 10miles away. By the way, is there a chat place on here? Might need to ask some questions like ASAP.

The last sentence was thrown in there due to the fact, as soon as I started writing that I started to think I was doing to throw up everywhere. And I still have a heavy metallic taste going on. My cats don't seem to be freaking out which is one of the things keeping me sane.

2 other things I think are important.
1. 2 days ago (Sunday night) I went to visit a friend who lives about 15-20min away. There was a springtime festival going on in her town, and since she lives right on the north side of town I decided to exit town and go the "back" way. The second I got into her car I felt uneasy. My radio has not been working so great in the car as of right now. So I was driving in silence. I started humming and singing little bits of songs to keep my mind from the creeping feeling. I got to a part of the road (it's actually usually a busy road) where there where no overhead lights and there was a thick tree line on each side of the road. A couple cars passed on the opposite side of the road. And I dimmed my lights. I didn't make them bright again, and looking back I don't know why. All of a sudden I large doe is in front of my car, about 20 feet away. I'm going 60mph. By the way, I slam on my brakes and hit her anyways, probably about 45-50 mph. She goes flying. My first thought is to pull over and look at the damage. Something says, bad idea. I drove up to the next "town" and pulled into a lit parking lot to look at the damage. I don't know if this is really anything. But it feels odd to me.

2. this one is a bit different. I love sleeping. And I'd say I sleep the best when there are no lights. Pure black. But lately I'm afraid of the dark. Bad. So when bed time comes so does anxiety. For some reason, I can no longer stand going to bed with a mirror in my room. I now have to place it in the closet before I try to sleep. and in our new place I put the bed in the room in a way that there's not a big open space on either side of the bed. Because before we moved, I kept having dreams someone was watching me sleep. Over and over again. Each time the dream was a little different. But one thing was the same. I was sure I was awake when I was dreaming all of this. The last time/worst time this happened was right before the wedding and the move to our new place.

I was sleeping. I had my back to the room. I also had the fan on, because it had been getting warm, and our place had no ac. So I'm laying there. And in my "dream" I wake up. Someone is watching me. I remember thinking, don't let "it" (I'm not sure what it was) know you're awake. So I remember laying there trying to pretend I was asleep. I was scared. The fan by my bed has buttons you press to make it fast or slow, they click loud every time you switch it. And my fan was changing speed, a lot. But no clicking. I was sure I was awake. But then later I woke up, when my then fiance now husband got home from work.

Any wise words. Cause I feel like I'm loosing my mind.

You sound like me!! I love to sleep, hahaha.. but here it is 2am, and I'm not. Mainly because I'm highly sensitive to spirits. I can feel all kinds, good and bad. I usually see a man pacing in my bathroom or have someone standing next to me, while I'm in bed or someone stands next to my bedroom door. But i also have hypnagogia, which causes me to lose alot of sleep and it use to freak me out, but now that I understand what exactly hypnagogia is...I'm better prepared to deal with it. Look into that....I'm know another post was about hallucinating and seeing creepy things while feeling awake, but sleeping. It's a pretty crazy mental sensory thing. But alot of people suffer from it. Definitely talk to a doctor.

As for the things I really see, I've been seeing them all my life, and I'm just now learning how to deal with it. I have to cause my 7 year old daughter has gifts too. So I tell them to go away and let me sleep. Eventually I go to sleep, even it's around 4 or 5am. I sleep like a baby then. My wise words are try cleansing your home. I use blessed sage bundles and do every room. I also burn lavender & sweet grass afterwards. I also have to do my yard. Some are stubborn and just leave my home but hang outside, haha. Show them who is boss and that you will not tolerate being scared. But be respectful. Of course, some may be there to give you a message.

Spirits have always given me a bit of an uncomfortable feeling. All I can tell you is that they are around, and the best thing to do is just put them in the back of your head. Try communicating if you have a particularly persistent spirit. Did you know that some think spirits can travel through mirrors? That might be why you feel the need to put it away. As far as the on-site chat, there is one at the bottom of the forum. Just scroll down.

For a malicious spirit or if you feel very uneasy I would recommend smudging with sage or rosemary, and maybe get a pendent or amulet and put a protection spell on that. You could also put wards around your home, car, etc. after performing some banishing acts.

For day to day interactions just be respectful and kind. Don't feel crazy, because you aren't.

Best of luck!

I suffer from hypnogogia as well. It does sound like you were sensing a spirit, though. I can also sense spirits, usually in older buildings and homes. When the hypnagogia happens though, sometimes real spirits do come to me, and they tell me true things about themselves.

We moved. And it's been a lot better since.
Like I was happening a lot directly after our move but now not really. I feel safe in my home.

The negativity you sense may be internal. You yourself know when you are asleep and when you are awake. You seem to be on the brink of a true wakeful state. The negativity may be trying to stifle this progress. Know that negativity is kin to void and naught. As being of such also know that it cannot directly hurt you. It can only scare. Be fearless towards the void and look upward and outward. Being stirred can be expected. Just know that's all it can do.
Good luck.
Selflessness and giving without expecting will no doubt clear your fear. You know your direction and the deviation there of. Deviation is what the negativity is working towards. Utter guidance on the right path with bring the absence of void and as such fill you with joy and relinquish fear.
