I feel something

For a few years, I've been feeling some weird sensations through my body whenever I lay down in a certain position. Whenever I lay down on my back, I feel like I am floating than I feel like I fell into a deep dark river. My breathing begins to feel a little odd... I decided that one day, I wasn't going to move to see what is going on.

After awhile, I feel a sensation in my head that I know from experience that I know there's a spiritual being here present. I tried to search the room, but I realize that I'm laying in front of my bedroom wall... Preventing me from really getting a good sense of my surroundings. I then heard him speak, "Am I here now?" I sense his aura. I get this feeling that it feels like God, but its not God... I know that this spirit must be very sacred, if I'm feeling that kinda of sensation. I guess...

I mentally asked for him to show himself. I know this is a stupid request, granted that I can't look around my room and I can't move or I'll lose contact with the spiritual being. I then begin to feel the same sensation that I got when I had my first out-of-body experience. So I tried my best to view down where my feet where expecting to see something. I couldn't really see anything, but I could still feel him there.

But then he left, and I tired to get in contact with him again, but I haven't had much luck. My question is, is it possible for your higher self to communicate with you like this? Or, is this something else? I am interested in hearing your thoughts on the matter.

Are you in a regular waking state when this happens? Or more of a deep meditation?
Because I am familiar with the not moving or you will loose contact, but that was more of an out of body astral journey.

I don't mediate, I would say probably more regular waking state... Although I'm not sure what you mean by that. I was laying down, feeling really relaxed when it happened.
