Evil Spirit or just a nightmare

I had a nightmare I was being stalked by some man whom I didn't know. He also wanted to watch me suffer and die. I was at some kind of camp and they ended up locking down the camp so he couldn't get in. I was so traumatized that I decided to adopt a dog. They had this mini dog adoption market on the outside of the camp grounds. I saw a dog with blue eyes and grayish white fur. I felt an immediate connection. I felt protected by her. The dog could speak, she spoke in low maternal, yet nurturing tune. She assured me that I was well protected with her by my side. So, I ended up adopting her and I rushed back inside the camp grounds before they locked me out. I wanted to sleep somewhere inside the camp that wasn't in one of the bedroom dorms, I still felt some odd sense of fear even though the dog was there by my side. I wanted to sleep outside amongst where the instructors and staff members were guarding the camp grounds somewhat close to the bedroom dorms. I asked if I could sleep outside with them, and an instructor went inside the dorm rooms to ask someone. The instructor comes back and says, "They want you to sleep in there." I saw two buff men standing near the entry doorway of the dorm. I was terrified by the sight of them, but I forced myself to walk into the room. The dog close by my heels. I went to my bed and tried to sleep, but my dog who was laying next to me began to growling furiously at the two men. She also began to glow blue on the outside of her physical dog body. The blue color surrounded me and the men didn't approach me. They proceeded to try a new tactic to get myself away from the dog, they started threatening that they were going to harm Dahvie (one of my idols and someone who I am very fond of, and very protective over...). I wanted to run to him and protect him from harm. I quickly jumped out of the bed and ran to find him. The dog was gone in the distance and darkness was all I could see. I then woke up.

I couldn't shake this dream as I am not sure what this means. Was I visited by an evil spirit? Or, could it be something else? I really don't know how to shield or ground. I've read books on how to do it, but I have difficulties keeping the shield up. I imagined my shield as a black dog with a blue aura. Maybe, I should try a different tactic like a different animal... or something.. What do you guys think about what my dream means? I'm also not sure, if the dog in my dream was Hecate that was protecting me. I know she can take form of a dog, but I've read that the dog is usually black... So, is it possible that the dog protecting me in my dream was Goddess Hecate?

[Also, I'd like to add before I went to bed... I felt very uncomfortable and I felt like I wasn't alone... But I don't know, I just thought it was stress or something..]

I personally feel like when things happen in a dream once it might just be our brains being weird. But recurrent dreams are different to me. For now try putting a protective stone or herb in your pillowcase or under the bed. If it happens again, or you continue to see this dog, you might want to update the thread. Just follow your intuition.

You could also get a dreamcatcher, those things are woderfully beautiful

The dog is a protective spirit. In psychic circles people have seen a white cat around me. Call on the white dog for protection from evil.

It's possible that feeling/sensing the evil spirit caused you to be at unease and have the nightmare.
