Hi everyone,
No idea if this is the right spot to put this, but I need to know if someone can help me.
My friend is on the edge of suicide. I need to know how to give him possitive energies or if i could have help sending him some. I'm with him now, this isnt one of those " I'm so upset I'm going to do it this second " things. Its a consious desicion to end his life the moment he has the chance to, because he feels there is nothing left for him to do in life.
So please any advice or help would be very appericated.

Welcome to the mental health subforum. You may find it helpful to read through some of the other threads in this section as suicide, suicidal intentions, suicide ideation, and suicide attempts have already been discussed here.

Hi there...sorry your friend is troubled,
Vesca's right... there is so much information in various posts here.
..one thing that would indicate it may be time to call authorities is if this person has set specific plans as to how they will carry out their suicide and/or date to do it.
best wishes

Re: I need help please!
Thank you guys, I will look through and see if I can find anything that may help.
He hasn't told me how he plans to do it, but I know him well enough to know its what he truly wants.
Right now I'm just staying by his side in hopes I can help him in some way.
Thank you all <3

Having been in this situation before, it depends on a few things.
How old are you? If you're still a minor and your friend is too, then tell his parents or someone in a higher up position because they can interfere based on age. I know it's daunting to do something like that because you don't want them to be mad at you but having their anger directed towards you is far better than they're trying to take their life.
If you are considered adults, then it gets trickier. The authorities cannot get involved unless there is an immediate threat to someone's life/well being. Rather, they cannot force treatment and even then, I do believe there's a limited amount of what can be done.
The best thing, though, is to talk to the proper people who can start getting them help. It's very difficult to help in a situation like this and to offer advice but that's the best I can say based on what I've learned and what I've gone through myself. I told the guidance counselor about a friend of mine who was going to and she's since thanked me for saving her life.
You're doing a really good thing by being there for them. Like the others said, take a look at the other threads on here because they might give you some good advice as well as some numbers to call for crises.
Best of luck, love, and light to you both.

Can you get him outside for a walk to the park or something? Being in fresh air and getting some exercise helps if you can do it on a regular basis. You two could make a game out of spotting all the beautiful things along the way. (Lovely things and things that make your eyes and heart happy only...if he starts dwelling on dead grass or oil slicks in the road...that sort of thing, bring it back to the pretty stuff.) It's very hard to do when you don't feel well.
I'd also like to mention caring for yourself ...negative talk can be very hard on ones psyche. Make sure you are getting enough fresh air and are doing things that make you happy.

Re: I need help please!
Sorry guys I never got notified about these.
Thank you both for your advice, hes still quite upset and considering it but i think hes a little but better.
We are both adults so it does make it a little harder to deal with. But i haven't left him and made sure to keep him distracted and busy, and I'm here to talk to if he feels up to it.
We have gone on quite a few walks these last few days and i do agree i think it helped.
And thank you firebird for your concern of me. I also suffer from depression, so it is quite hard. But i care enough about him to set my own feeling aside and not let it bother me on a emotional level too much. Been trying to also stay postive as much as possible.
Thank you both so much for the advice and help.
