This topic was very interesting to me.
I love wicca a lot, with no offense, but I want somehow to practice magic on my own, without any religious beliefs involved in my magic. I am agnostic. I respect Christian consuetudes,Christmas fast, Easter fast, but it's just because I was thought too. It's part of my people's tradition and I have no intentions losing it cause I am eccentric. :D

So this helped. A lot! Thank you!

I think the reason that it's hard to find non-Wiccan books on Witchcraft is because people tend to use the terms Wiccan and Witch interchangeably. There are people, usually non-pratitioners, that assume that because you are one, you're also the other; that the two are the same thing. It's a result of misinformation.
All Wiccans are witches, but not all witches are Wiccan.
I think to help find non-Wiccan books, you'll probably want to choose books based on specific traditions. If you've got access to a library, or can download PDFs, why not pick at least one book from each tradition that you can find? If you don't know which tradition you want to follow, this will help you gain a bit of knowledge to help you choose. Even if you're not interested in reading about a particular tradition, you're still learning. Visit our Book Review section, you'll not only find reviews of books other members have read, you'll also find links to places to download PDFs. Happy reading. :)

@Nyd: that "interpretation" you posted was a bit offensive and it also spreads a bit of misinformation. I can take a joke if it was meant as one but others may not.

@Ravenstar: have you looked into correspondence work? You might try researching gemstone magic, candle magic, color magic, herb lore, elemental magic. Each of these works with the corresponding characteristic of each thing. For instance, the way sage is burnt for cleansing, or green in the color of prosperity. Those a just s couple of very basic examples but I find they are the foundation of most modern witchcraft systems. Researching each would be a great start. I love to work with gemstones and runes myself.

That is why I noted it wasn't written by me. I don't agree with every point on the list. I personally take from each what appeals to me. Wiccan or not Wiccan Witchcraft doesn't matter.
