A spell to get rid of anger and negative thoughts

I wrote this spell quite a while ago and it's not really that original or anything, it's just really helpful and I thought you might like it. I was inspired for it by one of my favorite books - Robin Hobb's "Royal assassin" - there is a scene where the main character puts his palms on a stone which is somewhat alive and feeds off human emotions and releases all his suffering. So I used that.
The spell should be done out in the open. Find a big rock - one you can place both your hands on and try to channel your anger through your palms. If that's hard for you, try and touch the center of your palms and then place them on the rock. Think of all the anger, suffering, bad thoughts, anything you want to get rid of and "give it" to the stone. Feel the heat of the anger, feel it going into the stone. After you are done, say:
"I give you my anger,
I want it out.
Lock it in your chamber
and leave me without.
I leave it here to thee
As I will, so mote it be!"

Then leave the place without turning around.

I frequently use this spell, as I do get angry and upset every now and again and it works like a charm every time. Leaves me somewhat drained, though.

Hi, I would like to know if this spell would work with depression and anxiety? I suffered from anxiety and I know someone who have the winter blue. I don't know if you could alter this to treat anxiety and sadness. It seem to be a really good spell.

Of course you can alter the spell. I think it should work with anxiety issues, however, I think you should probably consult a doctor too. I mean, perhaps the spell will work, but along with medical treatment, not by itself.

Do you think this would work by placing your palms on the earth? I have to do my spells at night, so I can't really leave my backyard.
