A Vampire

Postby Artemis » Tue Aug 13, 2013 1:01 pm

8/12/13

I dreamt I was a vampire. After going through a house I didn't recognize ever seeing, but 'recognized' it as 'home' in my dream, I and several others found ourselves fighting against some bad characters. I don't know what they were, or who, but we managed to chase them out of our home just before the sun rose. I entered a room with three walls, the fourth was missing but lead out to a terrace. I sat there and watched the sky begin to lighten. 'I'm surprised to say this, but I actually miss the sun.' I looked at the slowly rising sun, already feeling my skin start to burn and blister. I chuckle. 'Never thought I'd actually miss it since I always complained about how it burn even when I was human. My eyes at least.' The sun is usually too bright for my eyes. I felt the pain of remaining out in the sun as everyone else retreated to their coffins to sleep. I lingered out on the terrace even thought the pain was growing and my skin was turning red, and I could see blisters forming on my palm. Eventually I got up and went back to my coffin. Within it I found a few stones. Stones I realized would enable me to walk in the sun upon the next time I woke up.

Honestly, with lack of information or background, I'd chalk this up to a weird dream.

It's for my dream journal, because it's something I remembered.

Busy little dreamer aren't we? Just realised all your dreams are posted on here. Like i said about the money. Its a hidden meaning. With all your dreams I'm starting to wonder if your looking for something that's blatantly obvious. Something that's staring you right in the face. Are you pondering something or us your subconscience playing out ahead of you?

Yeah, it's a lot easier to type out my dreams rather than write them out. My writing is pretty bad.

I'm not sure if I am pondering something or not since I haven't given it much thought. A lot of times my dreams are just odd, and I only remember certain parts rather than the whole thing. Then there are times when I can't remember my dreams no matter how hard I try. Sometimes I just dream of a random dream, with no deeper meaning behind it, other than being influenced by a book, or something, I read before falling asleep.

If you prefer typing them out, I'd recommend putting them in something like Evernote. Then you can organize them and tag them with the prominent symbols in your dreams. It really helps you discover the patterns. I've found that even if my dreams are influenced by a game I've been playing or a book I've been reading there is always some deeper meaning.

As for the dream itself, do vampires have any particular meaning to you?

Sceada thanks for suggesting Evernote.

Vampires don't have any special meaning to me. I THINK this might be the second time I've dreamt of vampires in my life, but I'm not 100% certain. The first time, I wasn't a vampire myself, and that was back in elementary school.
