Elements ARE ALL around

I have seen in many posts, confusion about directions of the elements. Well think about that...and calling them "in" for that matter....
After all, What are the elements???
Air- (within) The breath we breathe, (without) and the invisible stuff that caresses our skin...
Fire- (within) The internal spark that motivates us onward, or the electric matter that our nerves are made of, (without)The Sun, ever present, even though not ever visible. actual fire, (easy to produce)
Water-(within) The blood in our veins, blood of the woman/semen of the man, (without) and the the wet stuff that makes up most of the planet's surface area, ah yes, and tears.
Earth- (within) our bones are made of minerals found in the earth, (without) we tread upon our earth Mother every day.
Spirit- (within) the unknown driving force, (without) the unseen driving force.

These things are "with" us always, within AND without, so to "call" them forward, or to ask them to be present, seems a little ridiculous since they are already there.

Recently we have taken to ADDRESSING the elements from the center, (or elsewhere within the circle) and rather than calling them from assigned quarters, we ask that you become fully "aware" of these elements, and "know" that they are an essential part of LIFE.

The directions are called forward with their associations to the time of year, what is represented in that time of year, and/or their time of day and what is represented there.
This has been working quite well.
The etching of the pentacle in the air is of issue with the lack of an "element" at a quarter, but that's a completely different subject, on which I will address soon.
