I need help

Postby Linna-Rose » Mon Dec 20, 2010 2:30 am

I've a headache and it's been here a year. I don't know what it is, and I have been diagnosed with everything, but nothing is coming up, but when I go through the remainder of the test, everything comes up short. I need an explanation. It's the most painful headache one could imagine, and I have to take three Excedrin to have any semblence peace in my head.
I understand that this may seem normal for some, but it's getting really bad, I'm hoping somone has an answer.

I'll be eternally grateful,

Linna-Rose

It sounds like a neurological disorder, i doubt there is much any spiritual path can offer you. Meditation might be of use to help you relax and a change of diet is always good to try.

There is actually a lot a spiritual path can offer you. It maybe can't cure you, but it sure can kill the pain. Look into hypnosis as a painkiller. That's very effective. You can do it (with training) as self-hypnosis or on a more spiritual path during tranincing, whatever is more fitting for you. Hope you can find out what's causing the pain, but in the meantime, rely on your mental strength to kill the pain and live a wonderful life again.

The excedrin contains caffeine as well as either an analgesic or nsaid drug., so if you want an herbal substitute, try coffee, tea, or guarana. Guarana is an ingredient in many energy drinks and certain flavors of Vitamin Water. Mind you, these will be without the analgesic.

Rosemary and lavender are said to ease headaches.
Apply lavender essential oil to the forehead and temples, or take infusions of rosemary. Its worth a try if you have these things on hand.

Because, when such a topic is moved to herbs, only herbal answers will come up. And I highly doubt herbals will work in this case, cause medicine didn't work at all, and herbals are actually nothing more than medicine. The pain killers aren't working for her obviously, I guess lavender won't work either (even if it is a great herb for mild headaches, I use this too).

There are three ingrediants in Excedrin: Caffine, Acetometaphin, and Ibprofen. Each has its own area of headache relief, its a good cocktail for pain. The problem is the side effects of a diet of three Excedrin a day, have the doctors given you anything better for pain relief?

Yeah, excedrin is an OTC migraine medicine, and she did say it provided a little relief, so maybe the doctor should prescribe prescription-strength migraine medicine, the kind that contains caffeine and prescription strength drugs.

Try a tea blend of Feverfew, Peppermint and White Willow Bark. This is EXCELLENT for migraines. But I would go with Shadowx's advice first, there could be a tumor or something...

Of course, white willow- its nature's asprin- nature's NSAID!
I would try brewing white willow with espresso, but I won't mention another pain killing herb you could add to the mix because its illegal...
I don't know anything about feverfew. What herbal books do you read, Ravencry?

I read online herbal medicine websites. Like this one: http://www.holisticonline.com/herbal-me ... _index.htm
I'm at work, the laptop I have the webpages on that I use are bookmarked there.

The herb that's illegal is the best pain-killing herb that I know of. I suggest it to everyone out here in California, but we have a quite lenient medical card system with many dispensaries.

The herb I was referring to is illegal in every state, including California, I believe.
