Death of a familiar

I had two familiars, both cats. Velcro, who has lived with my family since before I was born, and Kai, a three year old boy who was born on Beltane. Velcro has recently passed away after a long 16 years with us, and I'm looking for a proper spell to help me with his death, and to honor his life and departure. The full moon is tomorrow night, and I would some how like to have Kai be involved in the ritual. Any spell suggestions?
