The Birds are stalking me o_O

Postby Fie » Sat Jul 24, 2010 12:01 am

I work outside, I see birds a lot. Like all day long. Within my first week of work two pigeon eggs hatched and I took it upon myself to check them everyday to make sure they were growing healthy and strong. A few days later, a very healthy pigeon let me catch it in the barn. it didn't peck, it didn't flap it's wings, it didn't try to get away. I then opened my hands and tossed her up and she flew away perfectly fine. Every now and then I see a pigeon that completely reminds me of her. Then I saw magpies more often and saw one in a very weird position. His wings were open, his feathers were puffed up and he was leaning at a bit of an angle towards the ground, it was very bizarre, but I thought it funny when I saw him and I told him to stop being silly, then I walked away, I came back not two minutes later and he was completely gone, not a trace of him. earlier this week I saw a large black bird in one of the trees I know is crow territory. Now I know crows and ravens don't usually have the same territories, but the next day a Raven flew down from that tree over-head. Then a guy came back to work who just happens to be a bird enthusiast. He had us help him rescue a turkey who was being tormented to death, we had to put cream into her black festering wounds. I went to visit her later that day and I hummed to her a song that just came naturally to me and she slowly began to fall asleep. I felt like she as listening to me and it comforted her. Then I went to the pond and found ducklings! And then, a few days later I found a dying chick =(, the next day, 5 more had died, and I saw a dead crow on the highway, with another one standing next to it, and I got the feeling of mourning and sadness as I drove past them.

All these birds, all of this has happened in under two and a half weeks, I feel like the birds are trying to say something, or something is trying to make itself known to me, any ideas?

this is happening to me too

This has been happening to me too very frequently. I continue to have two black birds crows or ravens I'mnot really sure always around me when I am outdoors. I had an owl hooing at me in the morning which I thought they only come out at night. I was sitting in a cafe alone and a small finch/sparrow type bird sat in the window cil fluttering its wings for at least 5 minutes while I was eating. A black bird also stopped me in my path and crossed in front of my car and stopped a just looked at me then continued crossing. In my animal wise book it speaks of all black birds being messangers of change. I am confused on the messages I am recieving I am paying attention but don't know how to find clairity in my message being delivered. I am donig a lot of research in native american literature around messages from animals. My animal totem is a white owl which also keep popping up in my life. Anyone else got some good advice knowledge of bird messages??

When I was 14 years old, and not in Witchcraft, at my village, there was this owl that was standing on the house across the street, on roof, she was always there at 7 o'clock night, I even used her as a clock for my dinner, you know? whenever I heared her I was like "Its 7, time for dinner!" I know she could just be an owl, but what was unusual was her habit to come out at 7 o'clock, she was a brown one, now I don't know if its relevant but me and my friend at that time we used to play you know "witches" meaning, we where making fake fights with spells (that we used out of our minds) my friend (she is a girl) she even had the power to freeze time, at the game, not real powers, hahahahaha funny memories, I so miss those times.

So the birds might stalking you, maybe they are omens! :P

Actually the Great Horned Owl is known to come out during the day.
Most owls are awake flying around until around 7-8am.
Are you sure your totem is a white owl?
Are you sure you have a totem?
Totems are fairly selective, not saying you can't have one, but they aren't common.

If black birds symbolize change listen to them, when are they looking at you, what are you doing when they make noise? Does it sound like an encouraging noise or a distressed noise? What are you thinking about when they come along?
All of this is very important in figuring out what within your life is changing.

@Greek: No offense but I was asking the OP she mentioned having a white owl and that was why I asked.

Ravens are also a sacred animal of The Morrigan.

One time, I heard that birds are spies and report to the trees, who then report to the government. j/k, sorry. I love Failblog.

But, birds are messengers of the gods, and the dead.

Try this exercise sometime, you might be surprised with the results:

Go outdoors on a beautiful day when the birds are singing. Find somewhere quiet, secluded, and close to nature. Meditate on the sounds you hear, the birds song, the wind rustling the leaves in the trees, small animals scurrying on their way to their families. Lean against a tree that has birds winging in it and listen. Ask aloud or inwardly toward the birds, 'What is it that you wish to teach me?' Don't be discouraged if you don't get a response immediately, it may take a little while. Soon, you will hear an answer. A bird might come close to you and speak with you, and you will feel its lesson. Or it just may be simple words. Birds seem to know which way is best to communicate with you. If nothing happens, meditate a little longer, and leave an offering of bird seed to the birds. This will help you form a bond with them. They will get to know you and if they didn't answer you before, they will warm up to you and eventually tell you of the lesson for you.

@Ravencry: It depends on the species of bird as to what it is a messenger for, not all birds are messengers of the dead.

When ever I see crows and ravens, they squawk at me, and I know they're talking to me. If you listen, they might tell you something. Ravens are sacred, and crows are carriers of change. All birds are messengers, something big might change in your life soon, or maybe they just have something important to tell you.

I'll give that a try Raven, thank you =) I don't really get a sense of 'change in my life' when I see these birds, more like a desire to know what they are saying and to be able to converse with them. Oh how i'd love to have a conversation with a raven! I have a vivid memory of riding my bike through a forest in fall, with a raven flying with me and the feeling of being completely at one with him. And finding a nice place to sit and meditate won't be hard cause my house backs onto a forest full of birds =) I really hope they aren't bringing me messages of death I don't really get that kind of feeling often, with the exception of the pigeon dying and seeing the mourning crow.

Oh, today a Goose tore the webbing in it's food and was bleeding o_o... though i don't get a sinister feeling from the birds, I certainly am not getting a lot of happy messages either...
