We start with the New York Dolls. Attributed to being one of the first Punk Rock Bands, the New York Dolls released their first album in 1973 paving the way for all other Punk Rock bands in America.

Of course you cannot have Punk Rock without The Sex Pistols. One of the first bands in the UK to record Punk Rock, this band is said to have started the scene in England allowing such bands as The Clash and The Damned to form.

A band called London SS was formed in 1976 but never went public before breaking up forming two new bands The Clash and The Damned.


Formed in 1974 from a high school garage band The Ramones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 as one of the Greatest Punk Rock Bands ever.
