I believe our ancestors used this tomb to represent the womb of the mother.
One would be sealed within this chamber room in the context of a spiritual quest. The experience within the tomb with the bones of those who have gone before you was a way to gain enlightenment. One would be nestled within the depths of this chamber, (which coincidentally resemble the reproductive organs of a woman) perhaps resting within the giant offering bowls laden with heavy and soft animal skins and furs. One is armed with a satchel of aminita muscaria. The quester likely would have been fasting... the shaft was sealed off with the giant rock, darkness overtakes and quester waits 3 days until the light of the sun shines through the shaft window on the Solstice in winter.
With the grace of the gods, quester will have had an epiphany or message from an ancestor.
Perhaps it's an initiation chamber for Priests and Priestesses or an oracle chamber. This place is larger than Stonehenge, and also has this sun at Solstice alignment.
What ever it was used for it's an amazing architectural feat.

Yes, Isn't it amazing?
This would be a bucket list place to visit for sure.
We have used similar imagery as I described above for meditation. It works nicely.

I would think something which took multiple generations to build would have a sacred meaning for the community as well as it's priesthood. They had to share to survive. Meh-just a noodle.

I've heard that ancestors still behave they way they did at death. What if they where really bad family on both sides like mine?
