My initial thought was perhaps you do have a cousin or shirt tail relative that is there for you on the other side. She may be there to giude you through some hard stuff. The Morrigan would have you examine that which must be discarded.(Samhain/Autumn) Purple colors are also a sign of those things in the highest spiritual realm. This "cousin" may be a guide to navigate through the blackness, in search of your spiritual self.
