Is this a type of witch craft?
I think I may have found out what kind of witch craft works for me. I draw a picture and imagine it protecting me. I usually write something under it. Could this be a type of witch craft?

A friend of mine once used to say that magick was essentially prayer in action. Where we live in the so-called "Bible Belt" of the US, this is basically how we convey what we do to Christians to help them understand our practice of faith.
Magick comes in many shapes and forms, and I don't think any one form is the "right" way! From what you've posted, the vessel for your spells are your drawn images and words, while the act of imagining the depicted image protecting you would be the intent that fuels the spell.
It doesn't have to be long-winded rhyming passages all the time (love them as I do!). Some of the most simple forms of effectively protecting yourself are imagining light wrapping around you, warm and comforting like a blanket.
As long as you have intent that you can believe with all your heart, you can channel and focus that energy in a myriad of ways! So, I say, Keep Calm and Draw On, friend!

Do you mean sigil magick?
I am the Earth, The Sun and the Stars
And I am the also the Moon
I am all animal and birds,
And I am the outcast as well, and the thief
I am the low person of dreadful deeds,
And the great person of excellent deeds
I am Female. I am Male and I am Neuter. - Devi

I have heard of weavers who created protective patterns, and quilters who put healing into their quilts, so why not an artist with whatever drawing media you use doing so with a picture? And wouldn't a tribal dancer's mask be a spell too?
