I got an idea as I have been learning about the use of Gematria in English language. The people who made English grammar were well aware of this as English words are so full of interesting Gematria values. And I'm positive this is not a mistake. So my idea is this, while writing down a spell or carving in on an candle, I thought I would start adding different Gematria values of key words I want to emphasize.
There are many Gematria ciphers to use, the most common ones being ordinal and reverse ordinal. These are very simple to calculate, English ordinal is as easy as A=1, B=2, C=3 and so on, ending with Z=26. Reverse ordinal works the same in reverse, Z=1, Y=2, X=3 ending with A=26. These two are basic math and only take few moments to calculate for single words.
Then how about counting Gematria values for key words, searching for fitting moon phase and a day which has corresponding numerology? Again there's many ways to count the value for dates, for example: 1+1+1+2+0+1+9=15. Another would be: 1+11+20+19=51. If I would be planning a spell for today, I would then find words with value of 51 or 15 or better yet, both.
Anyway, I thought this would be interesting topic for anyone who likes numbers.
