I keep killing my dang herbs. I can't tell you how mad I am. I have been trying to grow lavender for a YEAR and I can barely get the dang thing to bud! I don't know what I'm doing wrong. These are inside plants (herbs, edible, aside from lavender).
How do you grow your herbs inside? I need tips! I'm going to re-plant during Ostara!

Hmm.. I guess you may have to try to put the sown seeds outside. To absorb enough sunlight.
You may want to take a peek on this site.

Very good point Kuotetsu. Here,in the West of Scotland,Lavendar is a difficult houseplant, indoors.Yet,outside it grows profusely, easily and abundantly!I grow it for one season, indoors, then harvest for smudge etc.The whole plant.I cannot successfully overwinter it indoors,I've tried for several years.I am lucky in that here good quality lavendar essential oils is available cheaply,to supplement my own harvest needs.

I wouldn't grow Lavender inside - it's definately an outdoor plant.
Annual Herbs are easy to grow from seed but for perennials (like Lavender)I suggest buying the plants from your garden centre as they are more difficult to propogate.
A few things to bear in mind:
Good drainage is essential
Once Herbs are established, they are naturally drought resistant. Watering and drainage go hand in hand. Rather give your herbs too little than too much water - good rule of thumb - if the topsoil is dry then water. Indoors you should be looking at once every 7/9 days
Do not place them in a window that gets full sun for the whole day. Partial sun is best.
Unglazed terracotta pots are the best pot to use as the roots can breathe more easily. But I realise this isn't possible for a lot of people so don't stress too much if you use plastic or glazed ones.
Are the problems with the rest of your Herbs because you can't get seeds to propogate or they are established plants but they keep dying?
