the key to motivation is having a good reason to do something. unfortunately i can't give you a good enough reason too. I think it's a lesson that needs learning.

i'm a messy person myself, ussually my mom get's me motivated by threatenening to throw my pc out of the window (she needs to do that 10 time's) and then i do it

.
nowaday's i keep it clean because it require's less energy. did i mention i was also lazy
but i can't really give you motivation, you need to do that on your own, or have other people kick your butt into doing it

My motivation is usually once I'm finished cleaning, I feel soooo much better being in a nice clean area, it will probably help your stress out. When I get really upset or stressed I clean, it helps me kinda zone out and just look at the situation at hand, and when I'm done I feel like the energy is flowing so much more smoothly, and then I am able to relax and try to solve my problems.

I wish I had someone around that would yell at me to do things. I get up, let the dogs out, let the chickens out, feed the cats, let the dogs in, feed the dogs, make my coffee, sit and sit, and sit and sit some more. There are always emails to respond to, posts to reply to, friends to chat with, instant messages to respond to, and those darn Neopets are so demanding. Then...it's time to run off to work, no time for cleaning. Today there was the threat of a visitor, so I started cleaning, then they backed out and I sat down. *sigh,

So if I tell you that I am coming to visit you, would that motivate you? hehe

Sure, I'll make some ice tea.
As soon as I heard my company wasn't coming, I stopped cleaning. Sad but true.
Maybe I need a get your butt up and do some work spell.
I did get some exercise today. The dog got out of the yard and chased the chickens around, with me behind him yelling. You don't realize how high chickens can fly until they end up on the roof.

Blessings to you! I have these "spells" every so often and I go through this cleaning rampage...this happens usually once every week or two, it gets pretty messy around here sometimes before I freak out and start to clean!
I will look for a motivation spell for you.

I'm the same way, most times. I actually went into one of those today. It was just getting way to cluttered in my apartment.

My way of getting motivated for cleaning, is to put on my headphones and to turn on some rockin music. Something that makes you wannna "shake your booty".

That way, you can dance away the blues and get your house clean at the same time. Recite the mantra "close your eyes and pitch".

My Mom has a good montra she tells me every time we talk. "Get off your @$$ and get some work done". Yet I always find a reason to watch the next rerun of LA Law or something else.
