Are all spells to bring a person money automatically Personal gain? or is there some spell that I could use to bring money my way that doesn't automatically bring me under fire with the rule of three?

In my opinion, I would say no. As long as greed is not involved or you aren’t causing harm to someone else, it should be fine. Like casting a spell to allow you to see opportunities to make more money or help you manage finances better.

Also, the “never for personal gain thing”, I’ve never heard of that except on Charmed. If that was the case then you couldn’t cast a healing spell on yourself or any kind of beneficial spell for that matter. The only time personal gain should be a problem is when the motives are less than good.

I use personal Gain more for lack of a better term. The word greed wasn't comming to me very easily this morning.

You're right though. It definitely can't be called "Personal Gain". So I guess "Greed" would be a better post title lol

the easiest way to obtain an answer would be to ask yourself if you think it is, i personally am against such spells but im not overly fussed if other people do them, i would only class it as greed if you cast it for money that in no respect would be yours.

There is a long history of spells being used for personal gain. I don't believe there is anything in the Rede that speaks about not using magick for personal gain, either, although there are many different versions of the Rede. Besides, name a spell that doesn't have at least one element of personal gain be it directly or indirectly.

ive never even so much as read the reed, too long and five lines in i found it very sad. but as far as personal gain, the very first time i ever heard such things was when i watched charmed and they were all about the personal gain. like the above said, no matter what you cast it will come with benefits of one form or another.

Prideful gain is another thing to watch out for. Anyhow, I doubt that is your intention.

With the full moon coming up I would suggest you use a plain old petition spell. They are the easiest and I have found them to be quite effective. If you would like more money in general, I would focus the spell on the long term goal of allowing you to see opportunities that arise or to help make you better at your job so that you can earn more money. Maybe even helping you to find a better job if that is your wish. Be specific about what you want and participate in the spells workings. If you cast a spell asking for $1000 dollars to be dropped on your doorstep, it is very unlikely to happen. However, if you ask that you be allowed to see opportunities that allow you to earn an extra amount you need per check, and you actively look for them, those opportunities are much more likely to happen.

Just a little extra to pay off some bills from my healthcare before I was put on medicaid. The job my husband works doesn't pay as much as we need and It would really help a lot to just get these old debts out of the way. Then I need to deal with the pain in the ass of waiting for my disability to be approved. So maybe something to help that move along?
