Putting up walls without knowing?

How does someone put up walls without knowing it? A friend of mine said she tried to read me but she couldn't that she was blocked from doing it. She told me I had put up these walls. They thing is I have no idea how I did it or why I would have done it. Is this a normal thing?

Part of the human experience, whether we like it or not, is going through uncomfortable situations. If we’re not ready to deal with the experiences, our mind blocks them off so we don’t ruin ourselves. As soon as we have the strength to deal with them, they usually come back around. It’s been explained in the past as clearing away negative karma.

I would say it’s likely that over time, these blocks have occurred. Another reason would be that you didn’t trust the person doing the reading for you enough, and blocked them out subconsciously.

Walls are shields. If you think of it as energy, it's an instinctive response to anything perceived as disturbing.

Physically, we tend to want our personal space. The same thing happens mentally and emotionally. We maintain barriers, to protect our mental and emotional personal space.
