A Dream (Or Nightmare?) That Came True

(Forgive my English because I'm not a native English speaker
)
I am interested in witchcraft, but I confess that I am not a very spiritual person, and spirituality is very important in choosing our path. You can say that I'm a lost sheep.
Anyhow, I believe that my most spiritual encounter so far happened last year, in a dream. I never had a dream so clear and vivid like that, so I could easily remember the things that happened right there. To cut the story short, there was this woman with a white veil covering her face. We were in this garden with healthy green plants, but the surrounding was too bright and fuzzy, it felt like there was a thick fog. The woman told me that one of my family members was about to die soon. I remember myself crying so hard upon hearing it, and I begged her while kneeling down to take back what she said. I don't know the exact words, but the woman told me that there is nothing she can do, and all we can do is accept what is bound to happen.
Afterwards, I woke up with my eyes and cheeks all wet. I was very glad that it was all just a dream, though I must say that I felt really exhausted that morning I woke up, and I had goosebumps all over. I decided not to talk to anyone about that dream because I thought it was not important (because it was "just a dream") and it would only freak them out. Unfortunately, that dream (or nightmare) would come true a few days after. My father would then be diagnosed with liver cancer, and the doctor said that he only had six months to live. He passed away last December.
Some might argue that it was just a coincidence, but to me it is a little too much of a coincidence. I know there is a lot more behind that dream, as if it was the universe telling me of a bad event in advance. Ever since that dream happened, it felt like my senses were "heightened." Not in a way that I can smell scent or see things miles away a la X-Men.
For example, I feel restless with chills coming down my spine before a bad thing arrives. In one case, last month, I felt restless and drowsy all morning, I was expecting something bad would strike anytime. Then in the evening, a pretty strong earthquake struck our town.
Do you think these are all coincidences, or are there really unseen forces in the physical world that are trying to send me a message?
