Hi all,

Any tips for a newbie? Where's the best place to start if I'm completely new to all of this and have no idea what I'm doing? haha

Thanks :)

Thanks I've had a quick skim through, I'll have a better read when I've got some peace and quiet later. It looks like I could be super helpful :) I think I could have worded my original question a bit better. I was meaning more in terms of types of divination. Is there one (or maybe a few) that are slightly easier to learn about/more recommended for a beginner. A way of getting your feet wet before jumping right in so to speak :)

My, sort of tutor, helped ease me into divination with tarot cards. They werent associated with angels but felt spiritual. Althought i wasnt 100% accurate i did an accurate reading of my tutors past, present and future. So i would reccomend a nice tarot deck and just doing lots of research online, asking questions on here ect

Thanks Devon. I do have a tarot deck that I was given many years ago I think by my parents. It all seems rather daunting to think about remember the meanings of all the cards etc. If anything it's an excuse to buy another notebook to jot it all down haha

.Pendulums couldn't get any easier. Make your own.
. I use Storey Cubes, which are dice with pictures used to weave a story. It prompts the divination ability without the esoteric symbolism. It's purely intuitive.
. Use a deck with the meanings printed on them, or non-Tarot like Gypsy Witch deck under $10
. Witch's runes also are simple to make and use, with less than 10 symbols

There's a mood that supports divination. It's not self hypnosis or trance. It's a detachment.

Starting with something you're drawn to is good. I started learning cards with playing cards. My readings were pretty accurate. Some years later, I segued into actual tarot cards.
