Energizing

Hi
I was casting a spell last night and when I was energizing my candle, I felt a blue stream of energy flow through it. Does this have any meaning?

Blue, in Reiki, represents communication from the heart -- or starting to commune or correspond truly, from a spiritual place, and a place of power. It is situated at the throat.

Blue is the color of healing, calm energy, color of wisdom and tranquility.

What type of spell was it?
Where would you say the origin point of this blue stream of energy was -- the bottom moving up or the top flowing down?

As I have mentioned in my previous post, I'm new to magick. I was just trying to cast a circle with invitation to the guards of all the sides. I felt an energy flow from infinite heights towards the candle.
